Nearly six million for An Inspector Calls is an impressive figure.

Agreed, particularly for a 90-minute programme - 'The Outcast' and 'The C-Word' which aired earlier in the year were the same length and their ratings were a way off 5.84m.

516,000 viewers for the Football League tonight. Not too bad.

Where is the best link to get ratings for sport events thank you?

All these hour long episodes of Emmerdale, but has the show actually missed a slot yet?

I don't think it has! The Thursday ones are because of Corrie taking the 8pm slot, but there's no reason for the Tuesday ones!

Excellent figure for the rugby! Just means that everything else has suffered though

Poor Eastenders. :(

It just can't catch a break at the moment :( There's another clash next Friday and then two the following week (Tuesday/Thursday), plus it will face a couple more rugby matches.

No full update yet but Doctor Who only got 4.6m last night. In comparison, 'Deep Breath' (last year's series opener) got 6.79m and 'Into the Dalek' (last year's second episode ie without the hype of Peter's first episode got 5.2m). Doctor Who has always been one of the biggest shows hit by the move to online/recorded viewing and this year overnights seem to be lower than ever and it's bound to increase by at least a couple of million in the official ratings BUT it's incredibly disapointing to see such a low figure for the first episode.

Hopefully, with Strictly next week, the show can be boosted.

Great figures for the rugby. Which match was it which got the 1.61m by the way?

France v Italy - it was on ITV4. It is a fantastic figure!

Wow!, that definitely a fantastic figure for a match especially on ITV4. If you didn't mind me asking there is a link where I can get the figures based on sport specifically by the way? Many thanks for posting this, Froot.

I'm not sure, for the overnights, April and I use the Digital Spy figures and we use every figure they have. You can use the BARB website, which contains the official ratings, to look at the Top 10 figures for each channel and so naturally this includes Sky Sports and BT Sport etc if that's what you're looking for!
