I'm assuming Cucumber's ratings are going to be much poorer than normal considering it was up against the EE flashback episode!

I'm hoping for 11m+ peak and 10+ average for tonight's episodes. I think the flashback might be slightly lower than the main episode.

<100,000 perhaps? :kink:

<100,000 perhaps? :kink:

:heehee: Even that wouldn't be surprising! I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say it probably only managed somewhere in the region of 250 - 400k.

The EE ratings have been released:

19:30 episode - 10.84m (44.7%) [Peaked at 11.90m] *Highest figure since Christmas Day 2010*

21:25 episode - 10.30m (41.8%)

So happy with those ratings! Especially peaking at almost 12m viewers (presumably for the reveal of Jane). If it had not clashed with Emmerdale, it probably would've been a higher overall rating.

I'll have the full ratings post for yesterday when the other ratings are released.

Great! It's been such a long time since the public have all been talking about Eastenders, they did a fantastic job building up and hyping this storyline. It's become an essential talking point again recently.

Fantastic! That 44.7% share is also the highest since the live episode in 2010 which had a huge 54.6%. Also, the last time Corrie got higher ratings was January 2011.

Really looking forward to seeing what the overall ratings will be and I hope ratings will continue to be strong for a good few months.

I wonder why the figures for the 2 episodes of EastEnders are not the same? surely if you watched the first episode you'd automatically want to watch the flashback

That's HUGE for BBC3, no? I mean obv it's a one off but still.

It is! I've had a quick check and even BBC3's biggest shows failed to pass 2m (the only one I could find was the first series of Torchwood).

So the EastEnders backstage show BEAT Corrie's second episode by 1.4m! :o
You would think people would stick with it, for a few more weeks, I bet the viewing figures drop next week massively.

It's annoying to see last night's EE ratings just short of 10m but fantastic ratings again. Fantastic that the backstage show beat Corrie, not to mention by how much!

Some will have only watched Thursday's because they had bets for the killer but don't actually watch the show normally.
