That was the first time I've actually seen the six chair challenge stage in XF - I really didn't like it, just SO MUCH dragging out of the reveals (and it was just obvious that the ones given a chair that had barely any screen time/were given a 'doubtful' comment weren't gonna get through at the expense of the hyped ones) and wrenching of all 'this is so hard!111'. The audience felt unnecessary too, too much chanting and not a good influence on the contestants. Dunno if I'll bother with the other three until Judges Houses.

I did think more or less the right six went through, I actually liked Havva - definitely was different to most others there.

Havva was the weakest of the 6 vocally, but performance wise, she was arguably the best. She was like Cher Lloyd, just without the attitude. I'm glad she got given a chance in the judge's houses.

Monica's got a good voice, but I really can't take to her as a person, at all. She seems really aggressive to me. She reminds me a lot of Mutya actually. Louisa and Kiera are the only two I actually care about (and they're my favourite 2 in the whole competition) so as long as those two make it, I'm happy. The other 4 girls were very good though, although I think if Lauren goes any further she's going to be the one who I "don't get" as I think we've seen everything she can give us already. She has a great voice, but it's a pretty generic, standard voice and I don't think she'll be one to pull off a big performance in the lives to make me change my mind.

^Agreed about Monica! She's really not likeable at all, and that will work against her. However much pimping they do and however much airtime they pump into her, I can't see the public taking her... At best she'll do a misha B I think and be very lucky to make it to top 5 or so because the judges will save her, but she just isn't likeable compared to Kiera for example who seems really sweet and sincere.

That was definitely very up and down! I found Chloe Baker borderline intolerable, how on earth did she get a seat in the first place? Havva was pretty crap too, still not getting her at all! Katie and Charli let themselves down by being too weak for such big songs (I don't get what the judges were hearing with the latter?!).... I mean Charli was good enough but she didn't have the right power for a J-Hud song so for me it felt quite flat, especially when you hear Louisa just after! Louisa managed to kill that song without being too shouty, it was great. Same goes for Kiera, her performance was beautiful and was my favourite of the night along with Chloe Paige. Her Amazing Grace was just stunning, and so effortless, it being acapella just brought her voice out even more <3

My top 6 would have been Chloe Paige, Kiera and Louisa, Monica, Sharon, and Lauren. I was impressed by Monica for the first time, she really gave it everything but didn't force it. Still, I'd rather she didn't make the lives, I'm quite set on Kiera, Louisa and Chloe as the top 3 although I'm almost certain Chloe will miss out in favour of Monica or Lauren. Probably Lauren, I feel like Monica is being set up as another Gamu having been given so much airtime etc! But I'm not sure Lauren should go through as again I agree with Jonjo. She stunned me tonight but she won't be that great every week, I think she'll just be Lola part II and never really take off properly. I think Louisa and Kiera should be certs, then maybe Hava as much as I dislike her.

The only way I can watch X Factor these days is by recording it or on Youtube for these reasons - I have no patience anymore.

Interesting to read people's opinions here. I don't find Monica unlikeable at all, but I guess I can kind of see where others are coming from with saying the public mightn't take to her. I just think she was absolutely desperate to get and hold on to her seat (as shown by her overly honest reactions to the other girls' performances!), which was a result of her massive drive and nervousness following her experience last year. Her performance wasn't outstanding but I think she's more interesting than the likes of Louisa, who's clearly very talented but shouts and oversings her way through every song. She hasn't shown a hint of the versatility needed to last in the live shows and comes across as quite a bland type of act in general - I don't get the huge fuss with her (other than that her voice is far beyond her years and doesn't match her looks whatsoever etc.)

Kiera really impressed me once again. Her voice is beautiful and she always seems very comfortable on stage and in control of everything, despite any nerves. I think she has real potential to be an all-rounder and I can easily envision her being successful after the show. I'm undecided on Lauren in that regard as I agree that she seems a bit dated, like one of those acts who'll do well on the show but have no clear direction afterwards. Her rendition of 'Say You Love Me' was great though - I was relieved that someone chose to showcase their talent on a softer song after all the diva impersonations.

As for the others, I love Chloe's tone but wasn't mad about her performance this week, and I've quite a soft spot for Havva. I think she could be great with some much-needed guidance.

Would have been nice to see Sharon get a chance but it's a solid top six anyway. My picks would be Kiera and Chloe as of now and I'm undecided about the third.

yeah there's something off when it comes to Monica, her voice def is not that amazing too, Sharon Rose should have been there instead of Monica

I totally agree about Monica. I might be reading into it too much and she might be a lovely girl but I can't shake a sense of false-humble from her. I feel like there's hints of entitled 'I know I'll fly through this time'. And I agree with Jon, something a bit aggressive. I feel bad making such harsh judgments as I don't know her beyond X Factor's 1 hour edited shows but that's just the feeling I get.

But apart from that I also find her singing often flat and really not great. Very overrated. Her shoulders must be tired from holding up those hoops 24/7.

This is boring as f***, and no one has taken a chair yet
Tom is MURDERING I Look To You. It's like a castrated goat on acid being thrown into a furnace.
