This storyline does have a huge Zainab shaped hole in it (surely to make things happen, Masood need only notify her of her granddaughter) but I've been half expecting a surprise return for her for months and still nothing!

I liked the twist at the end of what was perhaps the most boring episode of the year. For one, it means the public can get an understanding of cystic fibrosis (I don't know much about it and I've certainly not seen it explored by a soap/drama) and secondly can show insight into what Shirley and Dean went through in regards to Jimbo.

 

I'm not really buying Kush falling for Stacey after he was so determined to get with Shabnam. I can understand a little more from Stacey's perspective - I doubt that she actually loves him but the show's made a big point about her being lonely, what with the Skype sesh with Sean and Kat leaving, and she is just confused/kidding herself. That's what I think about Roxy going after Charlie, and similarly, I don't buy Charlie falling for Roxy.

Surprise, surprise. Big shame really as she seems a very capable actress yet hasn't received one good story! Hope to see her in something else.

I know, every storyline she's had recently has been around getting a job/losing a job just like every storyline Billy Mitchell has had recently...I don't blame her for wanting to leave though and try something new

I'm guessing Billy's days are numbered? I have no idea how they can continue putting him in storylines when he has next to no family now.

Saw that....and to be fair the DS readers have a point....his faults she's leaving really she hasnt been giving any storylines instead giving limelight to the Carters and now Stacey/Kush/Shabnam :( Want to see a variety of characters storylines so you know what happens in their lives

There's no way Billy will be axed now. He seems to be an untouchable recurring character for continuity (like Tracey or Big Mo), the character will only leave when the actor wants to.

 

Plus, they've made an effort to integrate Billy and Janet into the Cokers family.

Useless character. Dreadful actor.
