I just watched the flashback episode on the iPlayer again and realised that at the beginning whilst the radio was on in the chip shop where Billy Mitchell was working a female voice said "here's the current number one" and instead of playing "Sigma - Nobody to love" they played "Aloe Blaac - The Man". Poor forgotten Sigma

They tried! :P

Tbh the attention to detail was pretty impressive: Jane's hair being the length it was at the time; Lee's hood being up because at the time he had much shorter hair; Abi's dog still being alive; the music played at Roxy's party being of the time; Liam referring to David who was still in the show etc.

I am all caught up with last night's episodes. A brilliantly done episode, absolutely gripping stuff (the whole week). My initial reaction was the same as most here at the reveal. Really underwhelmed and seeing his reveal just made it all the more ridiculous. BUT i have faith that this is going somewhere good. That article referencing 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' gives me hope that they have properly considered the implications of such a young killer and i think there is a lot of scope to go along with that. Children are disturbing people at times and it's never really explored much on TV so this could be quite the spectacle as the story continues to unfold.

LOL I srsly didn't think it would actually be the kid that did it WHAT :o that's ridiculous even for Eastenders! It's like Maggie Simpson shooting Mr Burns  Was near certain in the last moments when it was obvious it wasn't Jane, it would be Cindy.

I don't remember a time I was SO fixated on the TV lol

That was my first thought! And look at how iconic that reveal is and how well remembered it is today. It could have been one of the other suspects but this has now led to an even bigger talking point that any of those characters will have, so if ANYTHING it's continued good exposure for the story. Will forever be remembered as a huge moment for the show.

(and yes so fixated myself!)

It must have been Jane who Emma Summerhayes was talking to during the festive period and who received the text message as well.

I've just starting rewatching the whole week in prep for tonight's live episode. Don't judge me.

I've been watching them on iPlayer soon after they've been aired so you're not alone! :P It helps to make sense of things once you've calmed down from the excitement of watching first time.

DTC said to Digital Spy that Jane and then Cindy were originally planned as the killer, but then somebody else suggested Bobby. Apparently all the stuff that actually fits (now I'm calmer the next day, I can see it's seeded quite well) such as Jane taking him away and Bobby turning up on the common where Lucy was found wasn't even planned because Bobby wasn't meant to be the killer then. It's just quite convenient that it all fits like that! It does make sense I suppose it's just I wish they didn't hype it up so much about who killed her because it being Bobby just feels disappointing compared to the numerous people with grievances. I'm still kind of disappointed but it being someone in her family makes it more saddening than say Abi or Whitney in a psycho moment I agree. And it gives scope for an even bigger storyline, whereas if it was just Abi in a psycho angry moment it'd just be Abi carted off and that's that really. Because "things die".

Thinking about it, it is really sad that Lucy dodged so many bullets (all those people who had grievances with her, all those altercations the night of her death) but it was just her own brother who killed her - and when Jane came he didn't even realise he did it.

It must have been Jane who Emma Summerhayes was talking to during the festive period and who received the text message as well.

Thinking back, she did say "it's still murder" - that's when I started suspecting Cindy really strongly as I thought they'd maybe had an argument of some sort that went horribly wrong. Jane must have told her that Bobby didn't mean it or didn't realise he killed her. It does explain why Emma didn't just go to the police immediately as you would when you've solved a murder, she was probably conflicted between getting justice/finishing the case she worked on for so many months and the fact that the culprit is an 11 year old.

Also they only told Elliot he was the killer on Monday :o

I think Emma definitely met with Jane, the dialogue from that scene makes sense that way. Bobby being the killer also explains why Emma acted so traumatised about the whole thing. I don't think she'd be too conflicted were Ben or Whitney or Lee the killer. Also it explains why Jane was so pissed off about Emma trying to figure out who killed Lucy just the day before.

I want an explanation, even off screen, as to how Emma figured it out because I still can't fathom how she did it.

Also I've seen suggestions that Max helped move the body. Quite possibly because the 'you know' line still doesn't fit.

Jane's car was missing from the video of Lauren? "It wasn't there" would make sense if it were Jane's car. Presumably she then called up Jane on a hunch and Jane told her the truth. I'm guessing we'll discover tonight that Max also helped with the cover-up (thinking Abi killed her) hence the "you know" comment just before Emma passed out.

Now all we need is the explanation as to why Abi turned into a shifty psycho over the last 10 months.

18th April 'I love that dog'

27th September 'Things die'

I preferred Denise and Lucy's bitch fight, but that line from Abi was iconic!

As a suggestion, perhaps there could be a thread of unanswered questions and then an answer can be shown next to it once its revealed in the show?

I thought he said previously that the killer hadn't been changed after the storyline had started?

Me too but it's on DS now

I don't think the killer changed during the story. More that Jane and Cindy were the initial ideas but they settled on bobby before beginning the storyline.
Oh yeah that does make sense

I'm interested to see who Maddy Hill thought it was. She refused to predict at the NTAs interviews because she was convinced she was right and didn't want to spoil it for viewers.
