I don't think it'll be snubbed. It might be a very brief play-listing on R1 but it'll get ENOUGH to go top 20 on release week with the second version, I'm sure...

http://comparemyradio.com/tracks/Cheryl/Only_Human - It's been played once, Joseph. But it's still very early, I can't see it being played very much (or at all) for a good couple of weeks yet.

Her label couldn't cope with her releasing a single that didn't sound like a demo this era so they had to add that generic drum-n-bass

If they want a hit by chasing trends they have to make it lifeless dull deep house and credit it to a random producer, duh :kink:

Not a huge fan of the remix tbh. It doesn't fit the vocals at all, it feels like something you might mock up on GarageBand while messing about that sounds ok-ish so you'd lob it on soundcloud just because...

I think a Radio 1 playlisting is certain.

Like others have said, the green screen is SO obvious in parts of the video but it's nicely done mostly and she looks good here. This is undoubtedly the best single of the era.

Oh dear, why do my favourite songs get wrecked for release :(

First the great Untouchable butchering of 2011, now the Radio Remix of this. For me it just strips away the emotion that it carries on the album version.

Video is okay, always did think it would be quite hard to come up with a video for Only Human.

I'm hoping - as a long shot - that radio 1 ignore the single mix and play the album version instead, as they did with The Vamps' 'Somebody To You'

To echo what I said before, the new version is so harsh - especially at the start, it would work so much better if it built up to the D&B parts and only had them in the second half.

I've just pre-ordered both the club and radio versions on itunes. Come on chezza. I love the club remix. But I always prefer club remixes of songs.
The complete list of Cheryl singles to miss the Radio 1 A-list includes not just 'I Don't Care' but also 'Under The Sun' and 'The Flood'.

Ooh I wasn't aware of that, thanks Umi! Makes things look even better for this to make the b-list at least.

Radio 1 are fickle though. I think the best 'Only Human' will manage is C-List.

The album majorly underperformed and could be a reason that Radio 1 will not support the single unless it manages to go top 100 within the next two weeks. The Saturdays were in a similar position with 'Living For The Weekend'. 'Disco Love' made the playlist and the album debuted at #10 before plummeting. 'Not Giving Up' was snubbed following the underperformance of the album.

In all fairness, Only Human has sold over double what Living For the Weekend has sold :P They have no reason to be fickle really, I Don't Care was a #1, a bit of a floppy one but still a #1 and she still has a huge profile - bigger than that of The Saturdays.

Why are all of her videos so dull?

Sure, it's nicely directed and nice imagery but it is so boring. Why doesn't she ever do a big, fun video, gunge some guys, throw some into swimming pools or something.

I'm not sure any of that would fit the song but I get your meaning. There are some songs which could have had much more exciting videos.

Have you been pied by your sister yet? :D

Only Human obviously wouldn't fit that sort of video but I mean something like "I Don't Care" could have been so much more fun, it was just Cheryl on a boat, in the sun and rolling on a bed. I mean she could have so much more fun with it and made it exciting but all her solo videos are so deathly dull.
