The ITV show was unbelievably awful. Their attempt to have a show at 7:00 was brave, but a total failure. The fact that the one-hour show was actually only about 45 minutes long because of the adverts was only one of the problems. They had a longer version late on Saturday night but that was also terrible.

The rights for La Liga have been bought by Eleven Sports, owned by the owner of Leeds United. Now all they need to do is work out how they are going to broadcast in the UK.
Quest have signed a deal to show Football League highlights for four years from next season. They are a free-to-air channel although I suspect a lot of people have never watched any of their programmes. The Football League a presumably more interested in money than in getting an audience.
What channel is that? Will be annoying channel 5 losing that, enjoy watching!!

Quest have shown some sport such as British Superbikes coverage when there has been a clash with the main channel, Eurosport. They have also shown the afternoon sessions and the whole of the final snooker tournaments such as the Home Nations Series and recently the China Open since 2016.

It is Survival Saturday for EFL and Channel 5 has scheduled Goal Rush at 11pm at the same time as MOTD. The Championship's Survival Sunday is on around midnight. They have not scheduled neither earlier on 5Spike. So Channel 5 consider that the pinnacle of EFL is not popular enough to be given prime time on the Channel 5 network.

So now, if you want to see every PL game from 2019 you'll have to pay 3 subscription fees instead of 2 with Amazon winning a package of 20 games.
The Amazon games are two blocks of ten - one set of Bank Holiday fixtures and one set of midweek fixtures. I would have thought it would make sense for them to make each set of games available for a one-off fee. It's still quite an odd decision by Amazon. Showing just two sets of fixtures and nothing else (no highlights etc.) seems a bit weird.
Feels like they are testing the water to me. If it goes well then I think they’ll be quite aggressive in their pursuit next time

BT Sport have lost the live TV rights to Serie A matches in the UK and Ireland after Eleven Sports secured an exclusive three-year deal.

Eleven Sport are also in talks with other distribution platforms to widen availability, which means they could sub-license some games to other broadcasters.

It looks like no deals with Virgin, Sky etc. will be in place for the state of the season. So, enjoy watching the football on your phone or laptop.
