February 22, 201511 yr Kudos to Annie Lennox for getting a top 75 hit with a new release in this day and age. I'm surprised the Pitbull/Ne-Yo song is refusing to take off, four years ago in the 'club banger' era that would have been a MAJOR hit.
February 23, 201511 yr Author Was a little confused at the sales top 100 with a new entry at #81 for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds with a song that hasn't been made available to download yet - it appears it is a rare physical-only chart entry (vinyl only in fact as far as I can tell)! And it's not even #1 on the physical singles chart (slain by Bars And Melody). Probably just means the low top 100 of the sales-only chart is starting to reach pretty horribly low levels but impressive nonetheless.

February 23, 201511 yr I wonder will downloading collapse as quickly as cd single sales collapsed. I can't believe people pay money to stream music on the likes of spotify when you can do it for free on YouTube. To me it's a waste of money! I hope the download market won't decrease too much more for the new music releases. It was obvious the oldies would eventually slow down as people were buying music with the tracks they never bought on CD.
February 23, 201511 yr What Eastenders episode was 'What I Did For Love' used in? Can't believe it could have had such a huge impact! The Friday episode. It was played all the way through at the end, albeit sped-up, and the episode had 10m in the ratings so, you know, huge exposure!
