Nope, I think the only country rebrand we've had since I last updated the map was Why So Sirius changing to Sovarasma (and they weren't yet on my map the last time it was updated anyway).

 

African Grey, Ambienta and Sergeistan are also missing including inactive countries. African Grey can just be an enclave inside United States of Jack xx (the other two may or may not return to the contest at some point but for now I guess you might as well just add them somewhere)

Yeah by the time I joined in 2018 the map thing seemed like it had been abandoned and I had no idea what its purpose was :lol:

 

Interesting that it's being sort of revived now, I suppose it's probably a good idea to be on it but not a clue where we'll be though!

Some really interesting stuff here including a LOT of weird borders and country shapes sp I had to improvise with the naming thing because I didn't want any names to cross borders so the ones that couldnt fit within their borders are in the upper left corner with an alphabetized legend. SO.. this map is interesting. First of all, someone PLEASE fill me in on the lore about that island split four-ways between What (:lol:), Lorikeet, Pupok & Taahino. I made a few big lakes here that fit perfectly within the map, Varakë is huge and a few new islands including a new unclaimed one off the coast of Desbuanda (don't worry, I kept the original island Desbuanda had but I figured since they haven't participated for almost three years I'd make it a new country instead. There's three more unclaimed territories here. Not a whole lot of current countries here which makes me think this was one of the earliest maps maybe? Bhangra, Mulgracia, Taahino and Varakë are the only countries on this continent that are participating this month although Pupok was active only a few months ago. Outside of the current ones and Pupok (I think) the last one to participate however was Desbuanda in BJSC108 :o

The lower 2 continents are actually the most recently created ones lol, I added them in when I took over the map thread (from CianS iirc) as there were a ton of old long inactive countries missing and I didn't want the map to be incomplete. That's also why the borders are weird (I drew them in about 2 minutes in Paint), feel free to redesign them if you want xx

 

I also used to 'banish' countries from the further north continents down to one of the southern ones after they'd been inactive for 5 years to free up space on the more relevant continents for new countries. But there were still new spaces on the southern continents as well in case anyone wanted them hence why there are still a few more recently active countries there. They're the economic powerhouses of the region. x

 

The lore about the island split between 4 countries is just that I thought that would be fun xox

Oh lord no need, at least not for this continent. We have weird borders IRL too (looking at you West Africa) so it's not farfetched :lol: I may however possibly change the shape of Hasbeenalia slightly if you don't mind (mainly to give it a bit of a tilt as all of the continents have been mostly horizontal so far :lol:)

 

Should I just add the missing countries to the map where I feel they fit? I kind of need those four from BJSC 134 on the map in the very least before final results for what I've got planned :P I can make a special post highlighting the unclaimed countries after I make the final continent.

I had imagined a few more islands next to the original large island like in a chain up to PR Jester (because the Landbridge is built on a heap of islands in lore) but I’m happy to see the Bay Area that’s home to Morpeth Cove intact! The new border on them east is cool, I like this. Gonna have to work out how to update the internal map in my thread now 😬

putín is of course a torchwoodian dictator that ruled between 2009-2013 and genocided 4 million Camdonians before being executed by the rogue military group that took over shortly after that. torchwood have been in the state of war with closed borders ever since and literally no one knows what's happening in there.

Here's an updated Vinorel continent with Fljótavík, East Rukahavian and four new islands (hope that's ok). There's six new countries to claim here as well.

 

 

Here we have a few defunct countries as well as a few participating this month: Yours truly (Mosquetania), Thelonia, FSR Rontvia (whom I had to move down to the coast because of the change of shape in the continent, sorry if you wanted to be landlocked 3), Land of DW, East Rukahavian and finally the absolutely massive Fljótavík archipelago.

Haha yeah I actually added Sovarasma in the spot of #4 on your map! but since I've added some new countries since I of course needed to change the numbers since haha. After I finish the final map I'll do an overview of unclaimed countries!

I did think about this actually but I didn't know if there was another Rukahavian so I wasn't sure what was the best thing to do for me here :lol: Maybe it'll be like a Virginia/West Virginia situation (where normal Virginia actually extends further west than the "west" Virginia). Let's see what Mack thinks about this situation and if there actually is a "West Rukahavian" ?
