I gave every song a 30 sec listen or skipped through to what I assume was the chorus, to get a feel for them. I'll be fully listening Tomorrow and Thursday but from what I've heard there are 19 tracks, I think anyway, that I could be wanting to vote for which would be a record for me :cheer:

Yeah that's pretty much what I do :P I've already listened to all 32 tracks in my semi and sort of ranked them, however I won't sub my votes until I check them all again song by song :kink:

One of my favourite club tracks of last summer 'Cassiopeia' is a truly stunning modern classic ~ although at 8-and-a-half minutes I do fear it could unjustly dnq :(

Mp3 packs have been updated to include the AQ's and the 2 missed out songs. I also apologize for the terrible audio quality and song titles, etc... I don't really know how to sort all that fancy stuff out :(

Oh! I almost sent Cassiopeia a few months ago (it went top five in my chart) but opted for Shut Up and Dance, which I don't regret at all. It's a stunning song, although I probably would have tried to edit it down, but there just doesn't seem like an obvious place to make a cut without losing a lot of its beauty.

i don't think cassiopeia is in any trouble at ALL but that's just me, its that kind of gut instinct i had with goldfish walking away - it just SOUNDS like a big big hit

I'd put it in the top ten at least. That said I haven't listened to anything else yet so I'd better hold fire on that :lol:

I tried cutting Cassiopeia down when I entered it as part of my BJCD Swap. If I remember right I couldn't make it shorter than 6 and a half minutes!! Which turned out to be a pointless edit as my receiver already knew and loved the full version. I'm sure its length won't hurt it that much anyway as just about every second of it is seriously good.

I have actually BOUGHT one of the none-old entries already - had to happen one day - Snakehips charted in my charts last year and it's fab. Don't know any others except mine, but I may or may not be in the right semi :P

I actually knew of a few prior to the contest;; Major Happy, Intoxicated, Birds Flying High, Universal Nation, We're All We Need, Cassiopeia, Raindrops, plus a few from plug dj most notably Magnetic Nights, also knew of Days With You and I Won't Let You Walk Away but didn't listen to them properly.

 

I think that's more than usual anyway.

The Zak Abel link dosn't work, for me at least.

 

And the name for Tinnmark's entry is spelled wrong... I think... even I've had troubles spelling that correctly :lol:

Yes I missed that one typo in your featured artist's name on my run through :arrr: It has been fixed now anyway.

 

Syndare's link is working for me - is it blocked outside the UK or something? Bit of a problem if it is as I can't seem to find any other uploads of it.

It usally tells me if it isn't available in my country :unsure:

re: the online link, for some reason it's the only track on the EP not on his Soundcloud (yes, I had to be difficult) so I had to find that YT link. v. annoying, apologies if it is blocked outside the UK!

I managed to find all songs in Semi 1 on YT apart from the eBay one :kink:
