Couldn't care less, horribly overrated presenter imo. Not that I even watch Top Gear anyway but still.

Excellent news! Was doubting they'd sack him but I'm really pleased they have, they need to make an example of him.
Good, what he did was obviously totally wrong so this is only right and proper. However, the only party that will really lose out here is the BBC. Not that money should be the driving factor behind this kind of thing, of course, but he will probably end up making even more money out of this and be just as famous/successful as before.

People watch Top Gear for the cars and banter. Clarkson didn't have a copyright on either of those commodities, and it will do fine without him. The ratings may even go up. Chris Evans has ruled himself out, but then once the dust has settled down, the wage price is right, I wouldn't be shocked if he did it at some stage.

 

Clarkson will get paid a fortune to host a copyright show on another channel which will bomb because he thinks it's all about him, when it isn't.

 

Of course, I have been wrong before.....

 

In the meantime guest presenters for Top Gear. The other 2 should manage to have some banter minus the ego. I suggest the first guest presenter be Graham Norton, just to wind everyone up, and give him an opportunity to take the pee out of the format :lol:

Gutted tbh. Bloody love Top Gear and the three of them are absolutely bloody brilliant together. It's that Chemistry that makes the show.

 

I do understand why he's been sacked tho and it's really the only acceptable outcome. There's no excusing what he did.

The BBC can't really win here, if they'd have brought him back, they would have got a barrage of abuse about letting him back from his detractors, I think they made the right decision as they've been lenient enough with him and he never learns. Sadlt, it won't really benefit them though, Top Gear's one of their biggest shows and whether they find a replacement or not, they've lost a HUGE part of that show (not that I care, sat through it once and I was bored to tears, although I suppose it is about cars)
