It goes without saying that Helen is vile, but Bian is really annoying me too. Nowhere near as much as Helen but he does really play up his "hero" role but making sure he blows up at Helen at every opportunity. I mean she is very aggressive and does start things, but I'd not give her the time of the day tbh.

I think saying Brian looks like a rapist is one of the worst things Helen could say. I am literally at a loss of words for her behaviour this evening. I hope the appropriate punishment is used (but it won't happen).

Nikki is so right, Helen normally just goes for who she thinks (or knows, in this case!) is popular. Brian won (I know she did too) so she knows he'll be liked, Nikki is one of the most well regarded housemates ever etc etc. She is so transparent. It's just like last series, she was in there with abhorrent people like Pauline, Steven and Ash who were awful to so many people in there but she didn't once have a go at them, she spent her time chasing Ashleigh.

That was indeed worse than anything she got away with last year... Them just letting her get away with stuff like this because she's a "legend" is ridiculous, and a warning (which she did get) isn't enough. I mean look at some ejections in the past (not that this is the past), they were nothing compared to this.

 

Warnings just don't affect her and she does not care. I think by the time she had the argument with Matthew last year (which can't have been any later than around day 20 or something? Idk) I read she had 14 warnings already, which is just shocking and shows warnings do nothing for her.

I don't see how anyone can say Nikki and Brian are doing anything wrong.

Helen's taunting and comments alone is horrible. It's vile to see a female trying to get such a reaction off a male and the comments were disgusting. Helen continues to get away with comments that's incredibly unacceptable and this episode as a whole has been uncomfortable viewing.

Brian is not in anyway trying to be a "hero", he is just sticking up for himself after a character assassination. He's proved he's not concerned with being a hero by walking out of the house and getting away from the toxic environment. I don't think we can say how he should have reacted in that situation - i'd like to think no one has ever been on the receiving end of such abuse. Helen is beyond words i agree with everyone here (except that one poster, lol).. She can't be saved. An incredibly horrible person inside and out and the only thing i resent about the show is how they have let her carry on with it for so long.

 

Gosh this series is really one of the most explosive we've ever had. Not enjoying it for the reasons i loved Big Brother growing up, but this is a new type of entertainment. Can't take my eyes off it.

It shows, sadly, how far C5 will go for drama. In putting Helen back in they surely knew that they were risking this happening, but they seem to prefer uncomfortable viewing like this just because it's "explosive" to just letting things develop naturally. The latter way might be "boring" sometimes, but then when they DO stir it up (and that should be rare, not a norm) it can have full effect. And when arguments do happen, they're entertaining enough but not awful to watch like this, for example Gina and Sallie a couple of years ago.

 

I do not see how people can watch this and say it is entertaining. Give me "boring" anyday, I'd much rather watch things develop naturally because even without arguments I actually find that entertaining itself. Even if it's a calm house, it's great to watch dynamics shift between peaceful groups when integral people are evicted for example.

 

Also I didn't mean Brian is trying to be a hero tongiht, I mean in general (the last episode I saw was Saturday's for like 10 minutes :lol:), I made that post before Helen's comment too.

 

 

The frightening thing is, I'm seeing some real support for Helen on twitter..... :/ I just cannot believe they've let her in there again, to tear apart another series. It's like rewarding her all over again, as if getting £100k last year wasn't enough.

So the only 2 watchable housemates went then gosh :lol: I think I saw Eileen's eviction but can't believe Jade was actually evicted, she was the best by miles :(

C5 is absolute trash, imagine if Davina was still hosting this?! I think she would've quit if they let her continue. I think people like Emma and Rylan could at least try to not have the most boring on the fence personality ever and say SOMETHING.

 

I haven't enjoyed this series since the whole four in four out thing anyway. When it looked like it was going to be a good normal and fun series :(.

In fact the only C5 series that was worth watching was Ginas one! I'll give it to them that the Celeb ones have been pretty good though.

Yes I agree, BB14 was the only one that was even close to the C4 series quality. BB12 was unwatchable, BB13 was so tough to watch because of how Deana and the "outsiders" were treated by the "insiders" and BB15 was.... well, Helen. Then this just takes the piss manipulation wise, I mean we haven't had normal nominations AT ALL. The closest we came was week 2 when Adjoa went, but they were still face to face and I count that as a twist... The only proper diary room noms we had were flipped and that ended in 4 in 4 out.

 

I don't even think 4 in 4 out was needed... They had volatile characters in Harriet and Sarah who could have brought some drama naturally.

Four in four out put the series on life support but Helen has pretty much pulled the plug :drama: Maybe the series can be a Jesus and be resurrected (although be past its best) when it finally pisses off :lol:

 

I get so annoyed by those on DS saying "the manipulation saved it from being another BB4" um no? BB14 didn't have so much manipulation and that was one of the best series ever, arguably. I mean there was Secrets and Lies but really the only big twists were the fake eviction/safe house and when they lied and said Sam, Sophie and Dan were safe and Dan was evicted.

That is true however, I feel however bad Helen is in some of these confrontations she has been just giving her opinion and Brian has looked scary aggressive towards her in the first instance. He is obviously waiting to have a go. She probably deserves it but I think the gentle giant Brian is a myth.

Maybe they will time warp back to the start and have no twists at all. Imagine.
