What the actual f***. Such a damp squib, now Jack will be set up as a "hero" for being SO SELFLESS. Nobody would seriously take the car and deplete the prize fund.

This whole episode/twist seems as if it's being made up as they go along lol. Reducing the prize fund to zero as a potential penalty was pretty stupid.

Tbf they are just nominations, they're not automatically up for eviction but I can definitely see Sarah being up. Not sure about Adjoa but if it's vote to evict both would be in danger I think :(

 

Idk if i'd prefer evict or save, with save you get rid of dullards easier but you also get the likes of Conor staying for so long for being "hot". With evict though I feel like the strong female characters such as Jade, Adjoa and Sarah won't last too long and that's what always kills the series.

That was the most pointless 'dilemma' ever for Jack really, I could understand just the car in favour of walking away or maybe docking the £27,000 price of the car off the prize money but wiping away all of the prize money for all the others?! Like he was ever going to choose that!

 

Oh dear Nick also, one of the things that drew me to him was that I could emphasise with his awkward nature, but that was so uncomfortable to watch him be quite THAT nervous :( Bless him, also Big Brother pushing and pushing for reasonings. This series already seems like it's testing the housemates' stress levels more than usual!

I think the twist was constructed to make sure that the "winner" didn't go, because obviously with the amount of people that must have voted it would probably piss off a lot of people. So they naturally go for something that nobody would take! But, after hyping it they really should have thought of something better. Maybe the contestant with the least votes could be given that dilemma, and the prize fund could have just been depleted by £27k? It'd have been interesting to see someone who knows they haven't connected with the public much, they'd have less motivation to stay. It might have worked better later too, maybe about halfway.

Really, really warming to Chloe and Harriet after tonights show. Two genuine lovely people, not coming from a fame background nor do they really strongly aspire to be famous. I felt so sad for Harriet during the live segment because you could really tell she was scared of leaving. It really shows how the launch night eviction has really messed with their heads (and ours!) that ANYTHING could happen.

 

Also, felt so bad for Nick as well. Agree with Jade that it was truly uncomfortable to watch. The most difficult face-to-face nominations to watch and the first time you can truly tell they really don't want to do it. It's so hard knowing you have to do that every week despite coming in for friends yet people will obviously turn on you because it's openly saying you like them the least.

That was exactly my thoughts! It seemed as though they probably waited to see who would come out as the winner before deciding what the 'devastating consequences' should be. :lol:

 

I'm kinda glad that it turned out to be pointless though as, throughout the show, the thought was creeping up on me that we might have another Final Pass decision on our hands.

I agree that it would've made sense to just reduced the prize fund by £27k as then there is a small chance he would've taken it. Up until the point they mentioned the prize fund, it seemed like he was tempted to take the car and leave - which I wish he had done.

 

It does seem like they've just done it to boost Jack's popularity, and I only watched the first 2 nights of BOTS but it seemed that Jack's already their favourite.

 

Joel, Sarah and Chloe are probably my favourites at the moment with Jade having the potential for unintentional comedy! ^_^

Wow. What a waste of a live show. Hopefully the votes everyone cast on the BB App don't actually cost money, because that was a huge waste and was horribly facilitated by Big Brother. What was the point in having a live crowd and Emma there? They could have at least have had Emma cross to the house and list out everyone for Cheers/Boo's.

Yes, they're just his nominations :P I assume he'll nominate at the normal time but face to face in other weeks, they just had to have a backup plan if (or when rather) Jack said no to the car. And no the app votes don' cost, I think that's why they use it for little polls like this :P You can vote "properly" (as in for evictions and winners) on the app too but that's via in app purchases, it's 99p for two!
