Finally given this a few listens on Spotify...

09 Living For Love

09 Devil Pray

10 Ghosttown

05 Unapologetic Bitch

07.5 Illuminati (I keep changing my opinions on this DURING a listen, it's a real odd one )

09 Bitch I'm Madonna

06 Hold On Tight

05 Joan Of Arc (not getting the love, I find it a bit boring but it's ok)

08 Iconic

03 HeartBreakCity

02 Body Shop

06 Holy Water

08 Inside Out

08 Wash All Over Me

05 Best Night

06.5 Veni Vidi Vici

02 S.E.X.

06 Messiah

07 Rebel Heart (the demo version is an easy 10 though!!)

07 Beautiful Scars

05 Borrowed Time

10 Addicted

06 Graffiti Heart

10 Queen

00 Autotune Baby

Sooooo much filler :drama: But then that was always likely to be the case on an album this long!! Ghosttown is probably her best song in YEARS (I'd say since Hard Candy) and Addicted/Queen are amazing. What possessed her to not put the latter on the album properly when there's dirge like S.E.X. and Body Shop on there is beyond me :( Also it's a shame that Rebel Heart changed so much, would be second behind Ghosttown for me otherwise. Wash All Over Me has definitely been improved though.

Also Autotune Baby must be her worst song ever. Wow.

I understand what you mean about 'Illuminati' - do you not like the name-check verse but like the "it’s the Enlightenment that started it all" parts? That was pretty much my initial thoughts but I've grown to really like it all now. I think the meaning of the song is pretty good too.

There's something about 'Addicted' that makes me think it shouldn't be good but in fact it is really good. Not so much that I'm disappointed it wasn't on the main tracking list though.

Not happy about the lack of 'HeartBreakCity' love there but, apart from that, those are pretty reasonable scores! 'Holy Water' is my least faavourite but it's still kinda catchy (unfortunately created by Natalia Kills though <_<).

I think it's that the lyrics are largely really wtf, and the theme  Musically it's quite good but I can still never quite be sure.

In one interview I read, she said something about how the "Illuminati" has been misinterpreted and is seen as a massive conspiracy etc. and she explained what it actually was. I can't really remember, nor can I find the article, but it made me see the song differently.

Due to the grandness of the album I can't even consider doing an individual track rank so I'll do the following instead; I honestly think there are only two fillers out of the whole twenty-five songs but I have listened to the album in full fourteen times since its release last Monday.

Great

Living For Love

Devil Pray

Ghosttown

Unapologetic Bitch

Illuminati (UNDERRATED.)

Hold Tight

Joan of Arc

Heartbreak City

Holy Water

Inside Out

Wash All Over Me

Veni Vidi Vici

Good

Bitch I'm Madonna

Iconic

Body Shop

Best Night

Beautiful Scars

Borrowed Time

Average

S.E.X.

Autotune Baby

I think the album's largest problem is not the amount of tracks but the way in which the tracklist is structured; if the songs were shuffled around a bit it would make for a steadier and more coherent listen. However it is nonetheless absolutely stellar and many of the songs are about as good as anything she could do. Far, far better than the average Hard Candy and MDNA records.

EDiT: forgot about Queen. -_-
