March 24, 201511 yr Just looked at Thinking Out Loud's chart run - the only 3 positions it has never occupied in the Top 20 are 9, 11 and 15. I kinda want it to get another boost from somewhere just so it can go back and occupy those positions! More pointless, random facts of the day tomorrow

A post like that almost forces me to do a search! 17 positions out of the top 20 ties the record, also held by "Rock Around The Clock", "Stranger On The Shore" and "Fairytale Of New York". "All Of Me" and "Happy" each ticked off 16 of the 20.

"All Of Me" and "Happy" each ticked off 16 of the 20. Ha, I was going to ask to see if someone could do a search but thought it might be quite a difficult task! I guess 'Fairytale Of New York' could quite easily break the record soon then, it would only need a week at #20.
March 24, 201511 yr Has any track ever hit every position in the top 10? Don't think so. 9 out of 10 for Alma Cogan = "Dreamboat" Bill Haley & His Comets = "Rock Around The Clock" Doris Day - "Secret Love" Ed Sheeran - "Thinking Out Loud" Eminem featuring Rihanna - "The Monster" Frankie Laine - "I Believe" Jane Morgan - "The Day The Rains Came" Kay Starr - "Rock And Roll Waltz" Mantovani - "The Song From The Moulin Rouge" Nat King Cole - "Pretend" Oasis - "Wonderwall" Russ Conway - "Sidesaddle" Taylor Swift - "I Knew You Were Trouble"
March 24, 201511 yr Surprised The Monster & I Knew You Were Trouble managed 9/10! The one that instantly sprang to my mind was FGTH with Relax but that only hit 6/10 positions :o
March 24, 201511 yr I'm more surprised about Wonderwall! 'Take Me To Church' could well be joining that list soon. Now that streaming has kicked in, we're probably not too far away from a song that does 10/10, probably when the next 'Thinking Out Loud' comes along. Edited March 24, 201511 yr by Mango
March 25, 201511 yr Albums sales and streaming charts are now up in my post ^_^ Kendrick #1 on sales too so it's not a case of streaming being the deciding factor is good to see
March 25, 201511 yr The Day The Rains Came is the most interesting one, as it only had 9 weeks in the top 10!
