I am quite sure that due to proximity of geographical location on the map, a Jadakissnian co hosting may be on the cards if King Bellsprout agreed in that case.

A BJSC held in the Buzzjack Mountain crater and in the iconic Michelle McManus Mine (the centre of Buzzjackian jade mining) deep below Jadakissnia would be such an atmospheric contest.

Oh my god yes, I am down for a BuzzJack Mountain x Jadakissnia co-host if you ever win

aYia through to the BJSC 93 final!

It was announced tonight in South Danaelanda that we have qualified to the BJSC 93 final! Our 20th entry 'Ruins' by aYia becomes our 16th qualifier to date. We were announced through straight away, which made a nice change to being announced dead last as a DNQ with SOLDOUT last month! We have indeed quickly overcome that DNQ with a bit of spookiness from Iceland and we're chuffed. We have been drawn in slot 17 of the final. Please support us!

It was time to say adios to three songs that we voted for in semi 1. Our biggest loss was witchy offering (as you may have guessed from the stylisation) 'ßƟd¥ ßΔgƵ' by CVL† SH‡†. This was sent by -π and received 7 points from us. Unfortunately they crashed out in 27th with 30 points. Closely behind this in our votes was a bit of swag Finnish hip-hop courtesy of Skall. We awarded 6 points to 'Salil eka salil vika' by Musta Barbaari. We were sadly only one of two people who voted for this along with -π :( So it unfortunately finished in last with 14 points. Finally, Kylienips were the recipients of our 3 point slot with 'Ubu' by Methyl Ethel. This catchy number (well, at least the second half) amassed 38 points which resulted in a 25th place finish in the semi.

Thanks to everyone who supported 'Ruins' in semi 1!

BJSC 80s

The latest BJSC spinoff was unveiled as a throwback to all things 1980s in Quintessa! Our entry for this is 'Hawaiian Caravan' by Ryo Kawasaki. We had been sitting on this for a while after finding it in a '2016 electronic' YouTube playlist (idek) and now felt that this was the perfect opportunity to unleash it, as it's from 1982! This is a jazz fusion instrumental from Japan that clocks in at 5 minutes 46 seconds. This may seem like a bit of an unexpected direction for us, but we could not deny how amazing and ahead of its time 'Hawaiian Caravan' sounds. There may have been a plethora of classic artists to delve into but this gem deserved an outlet so here we go! We hope you guys enjoy.

BJSC 93 Results

aYia - Ruins

http://i.imgur.com/csQN2yW.jpg

Last night our fate in the BJSC 93 final was revealed in South Danaelanda. We started off proceedings being top 10 (albeit, votes were not presented in order of receipt) but then fell all the way to the bottom 10, before making a recovery just in the nick of time. We finished in 21st place with 176 points for Icelandic electronic entry 'Ruins' by aYia. We were initially disappointed because we were kicked out of the top 20 right at the last second. But really this isn't too bad a showing at all - the highest prediction we received was 21st, so it was good to outdo the expectations of the predictions lower than that. It was also revealed that we finished 10th in the semi with 67 points! Now THAT was a surprise when we presumed that we had just scraped through. This is our best semi finish of the year so far, as while TEARIST came 12th in the final, they were only 17th in their semi. We received one 12 and FOUR 10s in the semi so we were pleased that this entry attracted big fans. In the final we received an 18 from Deandria, a 15 from Suedeonia and 13s from Bøtanikkä, Persephonia and Skall. So a success on the medal positions front!

Ultraviolenceland were crowned the winners with 'In The Morning' by Jaded! This is the nation's second win of the year and their current streak for 2017 is 01-06-01. What kind of dominance! We were pleased to see them scoop the title for the second time as we gave 'In The Morning' 3 points in the final. Our 18 this time round was the stunning 'Ankara' by Fakear. This was sent by Deandria following a one contest break (hooray for 18-swapping with them *.*), so the country join the small club of nations who have received more than one 18 from us. Terra Avium have also received 2 and Persephonia have 3. The last time we awarded an 18 to Deandria was in BJSC 82 with their auto-qualifier 'Alchemy' by Poison Ivory. 'Ankara' finished in 11th place, following a deduction for #00274E. Our 15 went to Summericia with 'Turbo Killer' by Carpenter Brunt. This electrifying instrumental was a former Jadakissnian potential so of course we were going to throw our support behind it! Summericia continue to be our favourite country of the year so far after receiving an 18 from us in BJSC 91 and 7 points in the semi-final for 92 as well. 'Turbo Killer' finished just behind us in 22nd - quite surprising when it was being touted as a top 10 contender! Our bronze this time went to FSR Rontvia with the genius 'Super Mario Bros' by Tina Guo. Up with instrumentals as our top 3 comprised of two of them! This finished in 12th place just behind our 18. So things weren't tooooo shabby for our faves.

Thanks to the following for pointing us this month: Persephonia, Tinnmark, Zanmatony, Avalonia, Pupok, Deandria, Aeroche, Yehesi, Altyr Muunilinst, Suedeonia, Usfland, Kylienips, -π, Bøtanikkä, BuzzJack Mountain, Beaverdonia, Terra Avium, FARC, Skall, #00274E & Land of DW

We hope to slay you all with Arabic trap next month. For now let's see how Ryo Kawasaki fares in the 80s spinoff later in the week!

BJSC 94

Our entry for this month's BJSC is 'Waqqaberry' by BÖ! This song features chopped up loopy vocals that are spoken in Arabic. 'Waqqaberry' also has trap production elements which ensures two exciting drops along the way. Despite the song being Arabic trap, BÖ the producer behind the song is actually Turkish. This is a truly thrilling ride full of clever production and ethnic vibes and we hope that it will catch on for the BJSC masses. We have been drawn in the penultimate spot in semi 1!

BJSC 80s Results

http://i.imgur.com/ZkOaWjj.gif

The results for the BJSC 80s spinoff recently took place in Quintessa. Our entry was jazz fusion instrumental 'Hawaiian Caravan' by Japanese artist Ryo Kawasaki. It was announced that our entry came in 23rd place out of a possible 38 entries, with 78 points. This wasn't the most spectacular spinoff result ever (our worst since CROSSPARTY famously came 27th in Reinvention #Poland) but we weren't expecting big things and were just thankful to get medal positions. These were an 18 from Aesthetica, 15 from Flynnonda and 13 from Suedeonia! Plus... Persephonia finished in 24th so this is the first time we've ever finished next to our fave nation on the results table for any BJSC. Slay.

Aeroche took home the gold with Sandra's synthy and spectacular 'In The Heat Of The Night', racking up 247 points. We awarded this song 15 points so we were absolutely chuffed with this winner. Aeroche's last BJSC-related win with 'Fate' in BJSC 90 was also an entry we awarded 15 points to. South Danaelanda pipped them to our 18 points with the classic 'Your Love' by Frankie Knuckles. This finished in 10th place for the nation, continuing a string of recent success in BJSC for South Danaelanda. Our 13 finished just a couple of spots ahead of us in 21st - this was Trifoski with the highest discovery for us - 'A Day' by Clan of Xymox.

Thanks to the following for pointing us: Flynnonda, Hushkanukia, Persephonia, Terra Avium, Espen, Aesthetica, Altyr Muunilinst, South Danaelanda, Suedeonia & Aelandor

'Waqqaberry' really does give me trap remix of A-WA teas, wonder if it is possible it could follow in A-WA's footsteps and deliver the win for you ;o (not gonna hype it too much tho dw xx)

Looking forward to hopefully picking up 'Hawaiian Caravan' on vinyl with you next weekend hehe x A very quirky and cool track, deserved a bit better but obviously yass at us finishing next to each other, the true story of the 80s spinoff. *.*

Haha well maybe that explains why I was so drawn to it after stanning 'Habib Galbi' *.* Well that would be quite remarkable but I won't hold my breath, would loooove to return to the top 10 with this though. Haha xx

Oh yes much hype for Record Store Day *.* grab that impact Ryo. Glad 'Hawaiian Caravan' appealed in a big way to you, not the greatest position ever indeed but pleased it pulled in some big fans. Yessss g'won Jadaphonia being next to each other

BÖ through to the BJSC 94 final!

Tonight it was announced in Hushkanukia that we have qualified to the BJSC 94 final with 'Waqqaberry' by BÖ! This is our 17th qualifier out of a possible 21 to date and pushes our qualifying streak back up to 2. Thank you to everyone in semi 1 who chucked some points our way! We look forward to heading to the final in Ultraviolenceland. Please support our trap banger in the final!

The results were generally in our favour for semi 1 but we did lose a couple of songs we voted for. Ajanaeda were our biggest loss from the semi as we gave 6 points to 'XTalk' by Hundred Waters. This beautiful London Grammar-esque song finished in 23rd with 38 points, losing out in a three-way battle with ourselves and Unovia. We also had to wave goodbye to our 3 points that went to Skall. Their catchy number 'Fredag' by Kjartan Lauritzen came 27th with 20.77 points after a deduction. At least an improvement on last month where we were only one of TWO people who voted for their entry!

See you guys in the final *.*

BJSC | Japan vs South Korea

The latest BJSC spinoff is underway in Cadelicia! We chose to go down the Japanese route for 'Japan vs South Korea' with 'Daydream' by BPM15Q. This cutesy duo attracted my attention with this banging Electronic / Drum & Bass inspired song last year. I bookmarked it as a potential one day for the main contest but instead have now got this outlet for it! We hope you enjoy our very high energy offering. Hopefully it won't flop as much as it did in PJSC. This is our second Japanese spinoff artist in a row following Ryo Kawasaki in BJSC 80s!

BÖ - Waqqaberry

http://i.imgur.com/SVvvdg1.png

The BJSC 94 results last night in Ultraviolenceland proved a big success for us. Our arabic trap entry 'Waqqaberry' by BÖ finished in 3rd place with a points total of 290! This outdid the expectations of the masses, as we were getting mostly low-top 10 predictions and even one as low as 17th. This is easily our best result of the year now, bettering 12th that 'Headless' by Tearist received in BJSC 91! We keep up getting at least one top 10 a year as this bags us our 9th top 10 to date (receiving 2 in 2015 and 6 in 2016). This is our third medal finish to date ('Earth Not Above' by HAELOS was 2nd for us in BJSC 90 and 'Scope' by MssingNo also 3rd in BJSC 88) and now the third top 10 position we have repeated - we now have two 3rd places, two 8th places (Sonia y Selena and OVERWERK) and two 9th places (FM-84 and ONUKA). This is our third highest points tally to date in a final behind MssingNo's 323 points and HAELOS' 296 points, however this was our second best points result in a semi final to date; this was the second time we have received 100+ points in a semi! 'Waqqaberry' got exactly 100 points in semi 1, just behind MssingNo's staggering 165 semi points in BJSC 88. So we did pretty damn well this time round after a couple of not-so-spectacular results (SOLDOUT DNQing, aYia falling short of the top 20) - Jadakissnia are back! We did well on the medal positions this time also - getting 3 18s (from Espen, Unovia and Zanmatony) and a 13 (from St. Burbia). We are over the moon that BJSC participants took to this entry so much!

Trifoski were the winners of this edition with 'Hurricane' by Drones Club, a song we knew and loved before this contest. We gave the song 12 points which easily makes 'Hurricane' our favourite winner of the year so far. A big congratulations to Trifoski, we look forward to flying there for the next edition of BJSC! Rolloland were the recipients of our big 18 points this time with their debut entry (we are the first nation to ever give them an 18 *.* our faves Persephonia also showing good taste by giving them one too) - 'Routine' by Steven Wilson took our breath away both sonically and visually. This #longsongbloc offering placed in 12th with 231 points, a pretty solid debut position! Just behind them was a song that would've been our 18 most other months - 'Waiting For The Stars' by Vitalic feat. David Shaw & The Beat, sent by Singerpurear. This synthy delight was right up our street and thankfully it caught on, as it smashed all the way to 5th place with 270 points! Finally, our 13 points went to Persephonia with high octane rave experience 'Bad Trip' by Knarsetand; we would declare this as their best entry of the year so far. They received their first top 20 of the year as 'Bad Trip' finished in 19th place with 197 points.

Thanks to the following who pointed us this month: Avalonia, D’yermak’er, Hushkanukia, Unovia, Terra Avium, Summericia, Flynnonda, South Danaelanda, Tinnmark, Bøtanikkä, Land of DW, Suedeonia, Mezidina, St. Burbia, Aeroche, Espen, Taahino, Azure, Séyetana, Cor Lupus, Pupok, Thelonia, Cadelicia, -Pi, Medhelnia, #00274E, Dobago, Republic of Adonia, Altyr Muunilinst, Kylienips, Buzzjack Mountain, Zanmatony, Skall, Desbuanda & Persephonia

Zanmatony coming for that Top 10 Points Received list! *.*

G'won, 39 points from you to date is pretty solid support considering you only joined late last year! *.* thank you for the 18 for 'Waqqaberry' glad you liked it so much.

Our taste crosses over loads in general so I am sure it'll be no time until I point Zanmatony for the first time~ (your best entries for me so far have both DNQed! </3)

'Waqqaberry' really does give me trap remix of A-WA teas, wonder if it is possible it could follow in A-WA's footsteps and deliver the win for you ;o (not gonna hype it too much tho dw xx)

Well I wasn't far off! Maybe should have hyped it more tbh, while everyone else was underpredicting x Yas for another top 3 anyway *. x
