Artists that have left the 40 building from last week are 27, 29, 36, 38, 39, 40.

Well that's almost all of Sam Smith tracks gone for now, Stay With Me is currently #40, hopefully that track will follow suit :D

Streaming will probably keep it in.

Thought James Bay would have done more than 30k with pre orders but still great sales should do 75-80k by Sunday! It is a great album by the way much more uptempo than Sam and ed!
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS at Chic in the top 40. I hope it will stay in but it probably won't :(

Madonna isn't even going to hit 100k is she? .... Shocking :(

She may well do if Ghosttown gets picked up by Heart. It could become the Only Love Can Hurt Like This of her album. (Wishful thinking of course)

I was hoping #30 would be gone. Good to see "Stay With Me" on the verge of dropping out. Hopefully on Sunday, he will be gone

I'm hoping for 80k also... Great album and it will do fine in the long run.

that's a great debut for Sigma considering the complete lack of hype for this single compared to NTL/Changing, should be a comfortable top 10 for them.

YAY for Sam Smith looking like missing the top 3 this week anyway, hopefully the drop is a sign that Lay Me Down won't stay in the chart for 20+ weeks like all his other singles ; all his other #1s went 1-2 (wishful thinking i know)

Great starts for Jess Glynne and James Bay, both thoroughly deserving of their #1s I'd say.

Haven't read any reviews of Bay's album yet, but having listened through a couple of times, it's certainly more upbeat than the likes of George Ezra, Sam Smith, Ben Howard and other singer/songwriters around (with the exception of Ed perhaps) - so many possible single choices; reckon we'll be seeing a lot of this album in 2015!

Disappointed to hear Marina and the Diamonds is down to #33 already, but without any particular promotion towards a particular song, what was she going to expect. It'll be interesting to see her total mid-April though, when the album was originally scheduled to be released - some people might not realise the date had changed and have held off (wishful thinking!)

Ghosttown is a good song but Madonna doesn't deserve to do well as the album is pretty awful. Only a handful of good tracks out of 25. Its time she gave up!
Stop the presses! Our chart SAVIOUR is truly back as Joe BonaSMASHa picks up another midweek top 15 album *.* When will faves.

To be fair I was expecting a drop to like 65 this week so that's a bit better than I thought, although she hasn't really aimed for the mainstream with this and coupled with the fact she can't pick up any support any more I think it'll never be seen again after it drops out next week (or the week after).

'Tis a great album though.

Madonna falling very fast -_-

It is good to see that artists like Madonna and Kylie still have loyal fan-bases to secure them top 2 album positions, and also support live album releases like the current offering from Kylie.

Style is Taylor Swifts best release from this era, i actually am loving the track at the moment so would like to it achieve Top 10 status like Blank Space and Trouble achieved.

"Chandelier" STILL Top 40 in the midweeks. This will be its thirty-ninth week in the 40 - without peaking higher than 6. Not even "Let It Go" (34), "A Scottish Soldier" (36), nor the record holder "Ho Hey" (38) managed more consecutive weeks in the chart without going Top 5.

Here's to 39 more weeks of singing about light fittings.
