April 21, 201510 yr can i just ask will bjsc be getting any kind of summer break, each month we are having to listen to more and more songs and it's coming to the point where one comp ends and the next begins, there is no break and i don't see how anyone with a semblance of a real life can put their best into each comp when it becomes so tiring. the competition is growing exponentially and you only need to see what happens when growth is left uncontrolled...i think a month long break sometime in summer would be wise also why do we have to vote for 18 songs? just because the comp is bigger doesn't mean there are 18 songs you like and when it comes to 14th vs 17th in points what is the difference really? pls bring the 12 point system
April 21, 201510 yr BJSC has always had around a week between contests, as far as I'm aware that hasn't really changed recently? Not wanting to sound like a dick or anything, but if you want a break, take a break.
April 21, 201510 yr It's not 18 songs, it's 15 :kink: but that's being pedantic. I don't see it being much of an issue? There are more songs in the final and the majority of people seem to be finding it perfectly fine finding 15 songs to vote for. I obviously can't speak for everyone but I had over 20 songs I'd have been more than happy giving points to so the expanded points system was very much appreciated. The final has 10 more songs than it did before so it's not too difficult to find 5 extra songs to point surely? Plus I'm actually enjoying BJSC even more than ever right now :o So many great songs and loads of discoveries. 2015 so far has been soooo much better than 2014 for BJSC, imo.
April 21, 201510 yr Yeah i was very much against the new system initially but it turned into a blessing as it meant i was able to support a lot more songs which was needed. I am still a bit EH about how it'll affect the stats but i can get over that (maybe). Similarly to Joseph, i am re-loving bjsc now as much as i was in 2013 after getting a little tired of it last year. I wouldn't welcome a month long gap - the one in December is torturous enough (and especially not in the Summer when we all have a lot more free time!).
