It's only top 40 in the midweeks because the streaming data is missing, it'll probably miss the top 60 yet again :(

 

it has done far better than I ever would have expected for a Ciara comeback though considering her last top 40 hit happened 6 years ago

It's beyond belief that such a clearly popular song has been completely snubbed by every significant radio station apart from 1Xtra. It would be a major smash if just ONE of Radio 1, Heart or Capital picked it up.

Ciara is probably old and irrelevant in the eyes of radio unfortunately, clearly it being iTunes top 40 for weeks isn't convincing them otherwise

Just goes to show when people get excited about a pre-order being at #24, it's actually selling.. well, not very much at all.

I think with pre-orders it's more to do with how indicative it'll be of how it does when it's released.

I know, I'm just saying that currently it is pretty easy to get high on iTunes without selling that much at all- so when something charts T100 on pre-order for a month, it may only really have built up 12-15K.

Youd think they'd just release it now then!?

So looking like selling a similar amount to last week then so it'll probably end up at #61 or something :(

 

Agree with the comments above - Just 1 of the main stations picking it up would make sure it become a hit especially as it's stayed around for a few weeks with almost zero support.
