Corrie has been awful, the producer wants shooting. I hope Deidre wins her award though.

Scene Of The Year - KATHY COMES HOME!!!!

Best Actress: Nikki Sanderson (Hollyoaks), although I'd take Laurie Brett and Natalie Anderson would be a fabulous curveball winner. Alison King is great too but Corrie deserve nothing after this AWFUL year.

Best Actor: Michael Parr (Emmerdale)

Best British Soap: Hollyoaks

Best Villain: Jeremy Sheffield (Hollyoaks)

Best Comedy: Sally Dynevor (Coronation Street) - pretty much the only actress who really makes the show deserve anything, she's saved the show this year really

Best Newcomer: Twinnie Lee Moore (Hollyoaks)

Best storyline: Who Killed Lucy (Eastenders) - howling at how awful the selections for Corrie and HO are! The latter was handled awfully...

Best single episode: Easenders Live - really feels like they selected badly for the others so EE will surely win

Best Dramatic Performance: Natalie Anderson (Emmerdale)

Best On-Screen Partnership: Joe Duttine & Sally Dynevor (Coronation Street) - again Sally saves the show and Tim is good with her, DEAD at Tom and Peri being shortlisted for this though!!!!!!!!

Best Young Performance: Ruby O'Donnell (Hollyoaks) - pretty this will be Bobby from EE but he doesn't deserve it tbh after basically just saying "whatever she said she started it" all year

Scene Of The Year: Kathy Comes Home and the HO train crash both deserve it, but it'd be nice for Deirdre to win it too.

I agree that Corrie has been awful, what they do deserve is because of one character being great really.

Best Actress: Kellie Bright (EastEnders)

Best Actor: David Neilson (Coronation Street)

Best British Soap: EastEnders (only just, I feel the anniversary episodes edge it over Hollyoaks)

EastEnders would all my votes except i would award Natalie Anderson best dramatic performance, i love Kellie Bright and would like her to win best actress but Natalie Anderson would be a deserving winner too.

I'll actually be disappointed if Deirdre Throws The Trifle wins scene of the year. It would be a nice touch but it wouldn't be deserving in the slightest tbh.

Yeah, it would be a case of only being picked as a tribute. I know people say it's "iconic" but mainly for all the wrong reasons! Eastenders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks are all more deserving for their own individual reasons. If BSA continue the tradition of a stunt winning the award, then Hollyoaks are likely to win. Plus, Carmel's death is technically part of the nomination and who can forget the Ella Henderson's 'Yours' rocketing up iTunes after just the E4 episode!

The train crash needs to win. Carmels death was incredibly sad and the climb for 'Yours' following the E4 and C4 episode was incredible!

Just finished watching the show. The winners were:

Nothing I particularly disagree with there, which makes a change! I did think the producers were being a bit lazy this year in terms of the montage at the beginning - which I always look forward to but was kind of disappointed with this year - and the clips used for the nominations. However, I loved the tributes to Anne (Deidre) and John (Jim) - that montage of him and Dot! - and the Social Impact Recognition really was incredibly touching.

I'm guessing it was Hollyoaks who were that fraction away from taking the Best Soap award, but that God Eastenders claimed it as it was incredibly deserved.

I'm surprised about Scene of the Year with Kathy Comes Home, the Train Crash and Dierdre throwing the trifle all missing out.
