Very possible. They'd want her if she was in the Uk. Would it have to be pre recorded?

Depends on when the live shows are. The last couple of years started at the end of October but that's because they had a load of pointless and actually quite brutal battle rounds added in - they've cut all that out now and are only doing room auditions, then presumably bootcamp, judges' houses, lives. Looking at earlier series, the lives seem to start the first full week of October and I'm guessing they'll be like that this year.

If I don't go to bed before midnight, I'm going to be up until like 3am listening to this album.

Hell, even if I went to bed now, I'd still get up and listen!

(watch it not be on Spotify because of an Apple exclusive or, even worse, a Tidal exclusive, lol)

"If you can't handle me at my Britney Jean then you don't deserve me at my Glory" :D

10 Clumsy OOPS. Still slys

10 If I’m Dancing LOVE.

04 Coupure Électrique If this wasn't in French, it'd be lower. I usually love French songs but hate the production on this and not enjoying the song at all

I'm literally just writing whatever comes into my head here so don't expect anything that detailed or even making sense!

The chorus to 'Invitation' sounds like when someone rewinds a song to find subliminal Satan messages! Sounds a little too edited for my liking but I can tell there's a really sweet melody underneath that which is enough make you forgive any distraction the effects have. Works well as an album opener for sure.

'Make Me...' doesn't flow well from track 1 I don't think, but I can get over that because this is just such a great song. The whole "make me ooh ooh ooh..." line just intensifies in my mind and makes me just wanna get down and dirty. Why did radio not support this?! It's so fresh and sexy as hell but in a way that is totally Britney. The younger generation seem embarrassed to admit they like "second-generation" pop stars but if you heard this without knowing who it was by, you'd love it!

'Private Show' is such a BOP! I totally get the criticisms of it but I think it is so fun and brimming with personality and, actually, I think it fits nicely sound-wise where it does on the album!

'Man on the Moon' has a chorus that got me bobbing along by the second chorus. Really lovely vocals and melody here; I can see this sticking in my head all night and all tomorrow!

The 'Good for You' comparisons with 'Just Luv Me' are very well-founded. Even though there isn't a climax in the choruses, it has that je ne sais quoi that keeps you hooked throughout and it's just so sensual and tropical. I can see why people are calling out for this to be a single - I could totally envision others being intrigued on first listen and have the song work on them until they decide they love it (that's if radio gave it a chance, of course).

I love 'Clumsy' and I think it comes at the right moment on the album. Everything is quite smooth and sensual up until this point and 'Clumsy' wakes everyone up to avoid any misconception that this album is just about dreamy, intimate moments. The "oops!" just before the drops are so cute and actually makes what could be considered generic production feel very playful and I can just let myself go mad to it.

Now that we've got ourselves warmed up with 'Clumsy', it's time to set free this absolute monster of a song in 'Do You Wanna Come Over?'. This absolutely screams second single and I'm hoping the fact she's already added to her Vegas set-list means it will be. I even really like the male vocal in the chorus now! Seriously cannot get enough of this song right now.

Is that actually 'Hotline Bling' playing in the background of 'Slumber Party'?!?! Love it! This too could work as a single. The f-bomb is fabulous and the chorus is so strong, especially the last.

Guitarney! *.* 'Just Like Me' feels so personal and not in a fake personal sort of way - like adopting a role kinda thing - and, even though specifically listening to the lyrics hasn't been my main intention on first listen of this album, I can't help myself picking up on them in this song.

'Love Me Down' is like 'Fancy' meets Fergie meets reggae. Probably my least favourite at this point of the album but that still means it is uber-catchy.

The whole "since I tasted you I got a craving" verse melody in 'Hard to Forget Ya' reminds me so much of another song and I can't think what it is!! Not seeing quite so much love for this on here in comparison to other tracks but I'm really enjoying it!

'What You Need' is attitude with a capital A! Love how fierce she is on this; very theatrical and fit-for-the-stage. OMG AT THE "WELL THAT WAS FUN" AT THE END!!! SLAY!!!

-x-

I'll listen to the deluxe tomorrow but wow this album could quite easily already be pop album of the year. No duds at all on this album, nothing that makes me feel I need to have a few more listens to properly 'get' or anything - the only reason I'd need to re-listen to any of these tracks is so that I can love them even more. It's slightly different to what I had in mind but actually this is better than what I had in mind. Britney shows an array of different sides to her as an artist and delves into different themes and sounds, but there's this huge omnipresent sound that keeps everything cohesive and actually feel like an album instead of just a collection of songs.

I thought I'd finish listening to this album feeling absolutely crazy giddy but I actually I feel better than that. I feel proud. This is seriously an impressive album and it's great that Britney clearly still cares about making new music, regardless of how successful it will be.

f***ing mad that iTunes has chosen today of all days to go down.

My little review:

08 | I n v i t a t i o n |

- Perfect opener. Even though we know the album artwork is from the ‘Make Me…’ video, it kinda feels like this song is what the album cover represents.

It’s light, it’s airy. It’s pretty. The instrumental sounds like it could very well end up being the soundbed to a commercial or trailer.

09 | M a k e M e. . . |

- I do think this was the right choice to go with for single 1, despite the absolutely terrible video. It’s making the general public aware that Britney is back, the vocals are undeniable, but it’s a fresh new sound and image for her. It’s not like a Britney Spears single had sounded before but it’s exactly what it should sound like in 2016.

03 | P r i v a t e S h o w |

- Worst song on the album by an absolute mile. I know some people are in love with vocals but I can’t help but wince & cringe at some of the notes hit here. Not just that, she has that horrible nasaly tone in the chorus that reared its head in the S&M remix, she sounds like she has a cold.

Really not what I’m here for and I’m so glad we get it out of the way earlier on. Even the production is annoying. I just can’t..

08 | M a n O n t h e M o o n |

- I wasn’t sure on this at first, but after a few re-listens I’m in love with it. The lullaby-esque tone to the song goes perfectly with the twinkly production.

Loving the vocals in the chorus, even though it’s a little wordy and the lyrics overall are a little nonsensical, it doesn’t matter because it’s a lovely nod to pre-Blackout Brit.

10 | J u s t L u v M e |

- So impressed with this one, it’s so current & perfect for her breathy tones. Like, she is the queen of the breathy vocal.. I feel like she could absolutely nail this live.

Yes, it’s like the older sister to ‘Good For You’ but it’s elevated because Brit’s experienced and portrays the sex the track needs perfectly.

06 | C l u m s y |

- Clumsy is RIGHT. I feel like they just picked a word out of the dictionary and went with ‘Clumsy’, it’s all over the place.. which, I guess, is kinda the point in the end?

The ‘heeeey clumsy’ breakdown and the whispering of ‘Clumsy’ in the verses just feels like they’ve slotted the word in. It reminds me of ‘Switch’ by Will Smith, so it feels a bit dated.

09 | D o Y o u W a n n a C o m e O v e r ? |

- I love this, it’s so fun! That said, I do think it would be a bad choice for a single because it’s production doesn’t lend itself to ‘2016 hit’, to me anyway.

It really sounds like she had a lot of fun recording this one, it definitely comes across that way and you just know it’s one of her faves.

11 | S l u m b e r P a r t y |

- Okay, so this is what current Britney needs! It’s so old school but it sounds so current?! How can that be? She’s swearing, she’s got the candles lit, you know what she came for.

The chorus and the hook is so catchy, it may not get you on the first listen but it firmly indents itself after hearing a few times. It’s my favourite song on the album, I’m so excited about it.

07 | J u s t L i k e M e |

- I think I’d like this one more if it wasn’t in between the songs it’s between. I feel like it should be a little further down the tracklist and brings down the tempo.

The tone and the production reminds me of the scathing ex-girlfriend ‘honest’ track that hits the end of the album. It’s also a little repetitive, which bores me by the end.

10 | Lo v e M e D o w n |

- It’s as if she’s done a nod to each of her albums with this album, this track feels Femme Fatale. That chorus though *.*, anybody else getting Margaret’s ’Cool Me Down’ elements?

08 | H a r d T o F o r g e t Y a |

- The bridge to this song is SO 1990’s.. and then we’re thrown into the chaotic chorus which lets it down, I think it’s so lazy. The verses & especially the bridge are so much stronger!

08 | W h a t Y o u N e e d |

- I’m genuinely getting Celine vibes from her vocals from this, especially in the verses. She does something with her voice that Celine does when she’s singing in her lower register!

The production is what elevates this to an 8 for me, because the song lyrically is a little questionable. It’s a ride though, especially with those building vocals. “That was fun” indeed.

09 | B e t t e r |

- We’re back into amazing pop song territory again with ‘Better’. I think the album needs the other, lighter moments to balance out how amazing these highs actually are.

This sounds like something that could be currently in the chart right now and I love how good she sounds with the current productions, she sounds so at home.

10 | C h a n g e Y o u r M i n d ( N o S e a s C o r t e s ) |

- Fuego! Fuego! What is this amazingness! The harmonies and those gorgeous breathy sensual vocals go down a storm again. I love that there’s another genre incorporated and it doesn’t sound out of place, she sounds so comfortable in all of these styles.

10 | L i a r |

- This sounds like it’s lifted directly from a movie soundtrack, so cinematic and so big pop number. It builds you the scene, it’s so euphoric that you can feel the tension in the production and her vocals. A real nod the sound from the ‘Britney’ era.

09 | I f I ’ m D a n c i n g |

- They’ve screwed the bonus/deluxe tracks up again, this is amazing! The verses are absolutely everything. The chorus is too chilled for what I think the amazing verses are leading up to.

Love her vocals here though and it holds the scattered pop production that sounds like it could be a hit in 2016.. So why on earth is it the end of the album?!

06 | C o u p u r e E l e c t r i q u e |

- Unpopular opinion alert, but I’m not really feeling this. I enjoy it for what it is and I really dig hearing her vocals on this kind of track.. It’s just not really who she is, to me.

I’m glad she did it, to show her versatility, and that she’s able to pull a track like this off. It’s just not one I’ll be in a hurry to listen to again. Production is lush on it, though.

O v e r a l l /

It’s her best album in 10 years, for me. There’s just too many highs for it to fall under any of her recent albums, this is what we have been waiting for!

Britney actually sounds like she’s made a pop album for 2016 and she actually sounds viable. Like, if she was a new artist with this album, it would smash.

I really, really would have loved to see just one Max track as I think he brings the best out of her pop-wise but the producers worked magic on this album.

I think we definitely got so much more of Brit in this album from the personality in her vocals, I’m glad it has lighter moments thrown in.

It may seems crazy but because the sounds are so current on my 9’s, 10’s & 11 that I think a 17 track album of tracks of that calibre would have been too much, it would have been too much of all the same or it would have sounded like she was chasing trends.

I love that the album as a collection sounds so together yet there’s so much versatility in genre, tempo, vocals and production. I really hope this smashes for her, it will be so unjust if it’s ignored. She should be really proud of the album!

Can I just say the verses in 'Love Me Down' are such a throw at Gwen Stefani's sound on L.A.M.B. I don't get the Fergie thing.

I got this as I opened Spotify:

09 Liar - should've been on the main album

05 If I'm Dancing

08 Coupure Electrique - intriguing production

So I'm not in love with this album like most of you, but still a solid body of work. I'd give it a 7.5/10 for now, making it her 6th best album for me, although its close to Britney and Blackout for me, but far from ITZ, Oops and Circus. Yeah, weird how 3 albums from 3 different Britney stages are in my top3 :P

Still, this rating is quite a compliment considering how out of love I'm with modern music right now. So thank you Britney :D

OMG I can't even with you, TBH. You praised BJ more than this on initial listen! A 7 for JLM???

I do like BJ, I rate it a 7/10 :P Although I probably gave it higher first. There are several songs on that album that I still adore. My ratings tend to go down after initial listen, although some albums I keep liking them. I think Blackout was one of my favs initially but eventually it bowed out of my top3. I still give that one an 8.5/10.

Just Luv Me is good but not one of the best.

I was never a fan that gives everything a 9 or 10/10. I just find that highly misleading. Even ITZ isn't flaw free, although its near perfection. I still think this is the album she needed for 2016, it's just that 2016 music doesn't do much for me overall, so praising this is actually a big thing.

It's OUT!

Notice "Liar" getting attention. Dont know if that's a good or bad thing since its next to Private Show and Clumsy which arent gonna be singles...
