Kicking things off inside the top 10 is Girls Aloud's lead single from their second album 'What Will the Neighbours Say?'. 'The Show' becomes the first casualty inside the top 10 and it's not exactly undeserved. It's a very fun, camp, personality-filled video which sees the girls open their own Salon (aptly named "Curls Allowed" rolfmfao etc...) and give guys a make over, in a revenge type video. Very fun, colourful, bright, humourous video which shows the girls in really entertaining light. Which was refreshing to see after the semi-seriousness of their first era videos!

 

A deserved top 10 placing in the videos rank for this video.

And here we have another Girls Aloud video. This time it's the third single from critically acclaimed and the fan favourite album 'Tangled Up', 'Can't Speak French'. In this video we see the girls in classic, Marie Antoinette inspired, 18th Century style costumes. It sees them attend a French dinner/ball and turning the heads of a few gentlemen as they get up and dance with the girls. A good pop video! I think I over rated it slightly (should have given it about a 7) but it's still a good video. Just not a lot happens/nothing really of note to talk about...

Now it's time for the first of two Little Mix videos to fall. At number 8 we are saying goodbye to the title track of their second album 'Salute'. The song turned heads after it was released as an instant grat and people were longing for it to be a single. They got their wish and the "worries" were pointing towards the video being lackluster and potentially ruining the song. But lo and behold, it was NOT a disappointment. It delivered on SO many levels. We had the dark, grungy feel video that complimented the sound of the album perfectly. We had ferocious and slick choreography from the girls. It was what we needed in order to truly seperate them from the other girl groups that are/were around! I'm definitely not arguing with it's position in this countdown!

In at number 7 and we say goodbye to the final Sugababes video. Considering this seems to be a favourite amongst the 'babes fanbase and not too many of them voted in this rate, I think it can be considered a successful finish for them! A very deserved top 10 (should have been top 5, but all things considered...) finish for their best video. It sees the girls in a lift dancing and being sexy waiting for three hunky guys to come along and "push the button" before they get out and frolly around with them/getting quite forceful at times with the guys. It was the first time we'd seen a "sexy" side to the girls and some more of their personlities shine through in the video.

Just missing out on the top 5 is the very stylish, classy and elegant 'Biology' video. A video which sees the girls dancing in various different styled rooms, in matching costumes. The editing of this video is so perfect and compliments the song perfectly! At one point though, I think Sarah forgets part of the routine, which is slightly amusing. But it is a perfect girl group pop video imo. The girls all look classy and stylish and it suits them down to a tee! I am baffled as to how something as average as 'All Fired Up' has beat it, but this is Buzzjack!

Biology is one of my favourite videos ever so shame to see it just miss the top 5 :(

It's a horrible video for an utterly joyful song. Not as much the concept, but the execution of it. Just because they magically change outfits in different rooms does not make a good video.

And into the top 5 we go and we start by losing Little Mix's last video in this rate. 'DNA' is a dark, pulsing, electro-ballad pop banger! The video compliments it perfectly too. The video is heavily inspired by the smash hit movie, 'Sin City' and tackles the themes of jealousy & obsession. It sees the girls hunting down guys who have "wronged" them and ends with them all making their way towards a guy who they've obsessed over as he is bound and gagged in a chair in a basement somewhere in that city. A very intriguing and exciting concept for a video. One in which the inspiration of one thing is executed perfectly.

In at #4 we have the last Girls Aloud video, 'Sexy! No No No.'. That's right, leaving us with an ALL SATS top 3. The video to 'Sexy...' Is yet again a very stylish and great video. Quite a dark video which sees them dressed in various things and having pins being pushed around them! The only thing that lets this video down for me, is that I don't "get it". I don't get the story! :lol: So have this, from Wiki.

 

It opens with Cole then singing the introduction, as she and the group are seen wearing PVC catsuits while standing in front of a red material. The material is being used by a seamstress who is starting work on a dress. As the chorus begins, the camera zooms out to show the girls wearing giant inflatable red dresses. The seamstress starts putting large pins into her dress, poking their way around the girls, until the pins start tearing into their dresses. The pins tear the dresses off, and the girls are back in their catsuits, surrounded by the threads of their dresses. Journalist Peter Robinson deemed the video "iconic" and "stylish"
