I knew he would score, I would say congratulations to Jamie Vardy but now he has taken Van Nistelroy's record and I cant be happy about that.

As for the match I haven't seen any of it yet but my instant gut reaction is that Man Utd have dropped 2 points, I had a feeling that we might not win against Leicester away from home but it's still disappointing to find out that we actually failed to win this match.

Not 2 points dropped at all. Draw was the fair result, neither team did enough to get the 3 points.

Judging by the way the game was played, I'm assuming LVG was happy with a point. Can't blame him really.

Louis Van Gaal said that he wasn't happy with the draw, he thought that we dominated the game and should have won the match. I can't agree or disagree with him because I didn't see the match live but it's still a wasted opportunity to go top of the table.

Chelsea are 14 points behind Leicester and top spot at the moment so it will be interesting to see if Leicester finish higher than Chelsea at the end of the season. imo Leicester are definitely one of the title contenders at the moment but Christmas will be a big test for them and we'll see if they can carry on their form during that period.

Of course he would say that, the man is bonkers. I have a right mind to bring out the 'but we won the passing' GIF all the Man Utd fans used to say when Liverpool drew/lost :D

I think Chelsea will probably catch up to Leicester, as they will inevitably lose form at some point while I expect Chelsea to pick up eventually. The title race is 'wide open', it seems nobody really wants to win the league.

STILL no United, Chelsea or Liverpool player in either of those tables and we're now into December, bonkers!
Before seeing any of West Ham today I assumed we were back to the Allardyce days of settling for a draw in a game we should be winning. Turns out we looked pretty good - Sakho works miles better than Carroll up front and will be missed next week against United. Hopefully Bilic will start Zarate up top.

I was at the game and we did play well - in the first half especially. We've actually got players who want to run with the ball and create now (Lanzini, Moses, Kouyate etc...) instead of simply square passing and long balls up to Carroll. Sakho does his job of running the channels well and it's a shame he's injured.

Jelavic isn't too bad actually, a more energetic Carroll. I'd prefer Zarate upfront though to maintain some pace and creativity.

When West Brom equalised, we lost our way a bit as before that we were pretty dominant. Both had chances to win it but a point did feel disappointing. The performance was decent though.

I think you would be better up front with Carroll personally against Man United. No speed, but I think he would cause their defence a bit of problems / create space for runners.

You sure!? From what I've seen this season, Jelavic seems a better bet than Carroll but pace and runners have what has got us all those away wins.

The United - West Ham is such an intriguing fixture on paper (though I highly expect it to be duller than dishwater as a spectacle )

West Ham have been amazing on the road this year against the top teams but I feel they are slowly fading after their Ferrari-like start. It really has the feel of a tight 1-0/2-0 either way kinda thing depending on who gets the important first break.

You're coming up against a solid defence. If Blind plays CB, he hates aggressive strikers. Carroll is one at the best in the league at that.

Your big away wins have come because the teams play expansive attacking football (Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City). Man Utd won't play that way. They'll be compact and set up not to concede space. Just my thoughts though!

Makes sense. I know Smalling is having a good season so maybe he'd relish going against Carroll. Just from our point of view though, Carroll isn't quite there yet. Everyone remembers the Chelsea winner but his touch has been off and he looks half a yard off the pace. Bilic has given him plenty of chances too.

We have tended to struggle against teams that sit back against us. Some examples are Norwich, Watford and Leicester. Almost like we are becoming a soft touch again - the proper West Ham Way.

Carroll shouldn't be starting. Bring him on for the last half an hour, but he upsets the entire team's rhythm.
I wonder if the record for lowest amount of points to win the title will be broken this season? the current record is 75 points for Manchester United in the 1996/97 season. The way that the title race is going at the moment it could be a strong possibility!

Stoke have beaten Manchester City :D, I didn't think Manchester City would win away at Stoke but I thought that they would have salvaged a point. Now hopefully Arsenal & Leicester will lose as well which would mean that a Man Utd victory would take us back to the top of the table.

If Arsenal, Leicester & Man Utd all win today then Man City will drop down to 4th place

Stoke played really well, City just looked completely out of sorts. Stoke just played a false number 9 and mirrored what Liverpool did. And it worked again! Stoke could have gone that by 4 or 5 goals easily.
West Ham could have easily won today. No strategy from United at all, they'll be the worst title winners in a while if they somehow finish top.

West Ham should have won that easily, thought they might crumble in the last 15 minutes once Depay came on. Still a good point.

Man Utd are so awful. They won't win the title. If they do it will be only because everyone else is so bad. Never seen such a slow, ponderous Man Utd side. They're lucky they're even where they are at the moment. I'm utterly biased of course, they have no goals in the side.
