The only way we could get anywhere near the top two is if we win all our remaining games, which will never happen considering we've imploded badly. Having said that, out of our last 7 fixtures the highest placed team to play is Wolves in 12th.

One can only hope!

Another late winner for 'Boro today :drama: Still, Brighton thrashed Fulham last night and will still go up if they win their last four game as Boro have to play both Brighton and Burnley.
I'm remaining hopeful that there are still a lot of twists and turns left in these last few weeks.
After getting late winners in their last two matches, Middlesbrough conceded a late equaliser to Burnley tonight. Brighton won 4-0, but stay third. As they play Middlesbrough in their last game, they will still go up if they win their last three games. At least they've finally worked out how to score. For a long time they hadn't won a match by more than one goal, but have now scored two or more in eight of their last eleven games. That includes three 4-0 wins and a 5-0.
It's all got unbearably close :drama: It is now officially a three-horse race with all three currently separated by goal difference. If Boro win on Friday, Brighton need to win by two goals more the following Monday to go into the last match (against Boro) needing only a draw. Just a couple months ago, Brighton's goal difference was significantly worse than their rivals. Now they are only just behind and have scored more than the other two.

I hope Brighton do it. Easily the best team I've seen at Ashton Gate this season.

Pleased Bristol City are mathematically safe now. :D Lee Johnson has done well to keep us up. There's no doubt we were going down with Steve Cotterill in charge.

The fact that Franchise FC are relegated is particularly good news :yahoo:

Can't believe how close it is between the top three teams..its getting exciting but very nerve racking..think Brighton have the hardest fixtures left out the three but would be amazing if we went up
Middlesbrough only drew last night, so could go into the final matches in third place. To prolong the agony Brighton and Burnley don't play until Monday. If Brighton beat Derby (fingers crossed), they will only need a draw against Boro.
Burnley have been promoted back to the Premier League after beating QPR 1-0. Middlesborough vs Brighton in a winner takes all match on Saturday will be epic!

Arrgh, so tense for Brighton, I hope they'll be spurred on by Leicester City's story but everything is at the advantage of Middlesborough.

Would be pretty bizarre to see the big guns from the Premier League turning up to Falmer, though traffic and trains around the city are horrific enough on a Saturday without the huge extra footfall that would bring so that could be interesting.

The ground is generally full anyway, so there won't really be any additional spectators turning up.

Wanted to see Brighton get the second automatic promotion spot, but not to be with Middlesbrough getting it however good to see them back in the Premier League.

So its between Brighton, Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County for the third promotion spot. Who do you think will get it?

I think Hull will probably win the play offs but I really hope Brighton win it. It's good and more fun when new teams enter the Premier League, it would be a bit like Bournemouth getting promoted last season.

I have this weird thing for all things Sheffield so I'm hoping it's Wednesday but I think it will be between Brighton and Hull. The only team frm the top 6 I didn't really like was Burnley but they went and won the thing so eh.
