I don't think it's right for artists to be allowed to exclude their music from the charts (without breaking one of the established rules like selling for too cheap or on their own website or whatever).

Really loving this, a huge step up from THWWIW

I've seen a few things on iTunes recently with release dates in the future but are available to buy now, including a remix of James Bay's Let It Go :lol: How odd!

Selena's single is incredible! Hope it ends up being a big hit for her once her streaming picks up and airplay begins :wub:

I'm hoping that the interest on pre orders will allow it to come close to reaching the top 20, it's so catchy and Jerimiah seems to have some form of a fan base over here because his features constantly seem to do quite well. I'd trade a top 20 placing for it lasting around the top 40 for a good while though.

It's up to #30 anyhow. Haven't heard it yet but g'won A$AP Rocky get dat debut top 40 $mash *.* f***in' Problems and Wild For The Night should've been huge hits but only made #50 and #43 respectively.

Yeah, I'd rather it had some longevity too especially as the album is released shortly after! I could see it lasting as long as Fester Skank did as both have had similar support. Also, they were both the first single from both acts that had major label backing.

 

This song could even break America, which would be quite something :o

Cannot believe A$AP hasn't had a top 40 yet :o Saying that, Problems was bigger than most of the songs in the top 40 at the time!

I'm guessing 'Marvin Gaye' could get moved to the middle of July? It's not had any airplay from Capital & Radio 1 yet and it's performance on iTunes is from television airplay alone. I'm guessing Capital will pick up on it within the next week and it will be top 50 on Pre-orders overtaking 'Black Magic' etc. It wouldn't surprise me even if Marvin Gaye was moved to the dreaded 10th July release date which would be idiotic.

 

Jase, Rachel Platten has been pushed back to 31st July now. Brilliant decision by label and management. I'm hoping the airplay begins picking up as it wasn't even top 40 on Heart plays in the last 7 days despite being on the playlist.

A record that otherwise meets all eligibility criteria will not be excluded from the charts.

 

Well unless the OCC have changed the rules since March 2015, Alesha Dixon cannot just request to have 'The Way We Are' excluded on a whim, her record company will have to break one of the eligibility rules to have it disqualified~
