June 28, 201510 yr Author 6th. Radio 7.82 1ERqQXI8NHc Highest score: 11 (April) Lowest score: 4 (Acidburn) Just missing out on the top 5 is 'Radio'. The second time Alesha's second single bombed spectacularly, missing the top 40 and then the subsequent album missed the top 80 :drama: Comparisons to Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own' are valid and could explain why poor 'Radio' flopped. June 28, 201510 yr Author I'll be revealing the top 3 tomorrow night, any predictions? Breathe Slow Let's Get Excited The Boy Does Nothing
June 28, 201510 yr Ugh. Wish I'd voted! :( 'Radio' is amazing. 'The Boy Does Nothing' is not. It's stupidly and horrendously overrate and is one of my least favourite songs of the last 10 years or so! :puke:
June 28, 201510 yr Actually don't mind "Drummer Boy" it's a pretty good track, but haven't listened to it in a while, but still decent enough. "Radio" was just awful, very below average effort and a very weak single release, that's part of the reason it flopped and plus probably the Strictly Come Dancing backlash didn't help. "The Way We Are" is again a decent effort but doesn't compare to brilliant first 3 singles from "The Alesha Show". Glad "Lipstick" has done well on this, and probably one of her most underrated songs ever and deserved better. Remember when I first heard it and just loved it and thought that it was going to smash, but only managed a #14 peak. Brilliant top 3 though I predict = 1. Breathe Slow 2. The Boy Does Nothing 3. Let's Get Excited
June 29, 201510 yr Author 3rd. Let's Get Excited 8.5 3Co_Se4VRtw Highest score: 10 (Liam, AdamAloud) Lowest score: 6 (April) Finishing with the bronze medal is 'Let's Get Excited', the third single from 'The Alesha Show'. I think it's such a fantastic pop bop so I'm pleased it's done well here. 'Let's Get Exited' though :manson:
July 1, 201510 yr Author 2nd. The Boy Does Nothing 9.89 xGnSuTWXC9A Highest score: 11 (Acidburn, Liam, Ultraviolence1989, Davidson, James1987, pippa, JosephStyles) Lowest score: 6.5 (Heezus Froot) 1st. Breathe Slow 9.93 -503QA6F08g Highest score: 11 (Ryan, Lee Wallace, Simon.) Lowest score: 9 (mr_aly, pippa, Heezus Froot) So it was incredibly close in the end, only 0.04 in it! But it's 'Breathe Slow' that is victorious out of Alesha's two biggest and most well known hits. Thanks to everyone who took part in the rate and I hope you're pleased with the results! :D
July 1, 201510 yr Would've preferred The Boy Does Nothing to win but I'm delighted it's actually come so close, so can't complain! Thanks for hosting this, Adam!
July 1, 201510 yr Thank the lord my score kept TBDN from winning. Breathe Slow is far better than that dated shit.
July 1, 201510 yr Honestly "The Boy Does Nothing" will always be my fave, but "Breathe Slow" is fantastic also, great top 2 and fantastic averages, thanks for doing this. If u have time maybe you could take part in my No Doubt/Gwen Stefani rate, but only if you want to. But Alesha Dixon though she is so great that top 4 is amazing.
