Great episode, one snag, if you do a runner you wouldn't go back to Albert Square. I was expecting Ian at the end of the episode not Max

You just knew it was Phil doing the opposite when bribing the foreman of the jury. I hope he gets his comeuppance, but this is 'King' Phil after all.

So I guess Max is going to figure out the truth now. I'm really looking forward to the outlandish reasoning they'll give for him to keep quiet about it after all this.

 

And whilst Stacey flaps around the square trying to talk to anyone who'll listen about Max's innocence, she seems to have forgotten that when she last saw Lauren 7 months ago, Lauren was certain she knew who'd killed Lucy. You'd think she'd be the first person Stacey would turn to.

Stacey was even more miserable than usual tonight and that's saying something

I can imagine that somehow Lauren is involved in keeping Max quiet. I like how it's all unravelling for the Beales but it's getting to the point now where somebody HAS to tell the truth. I highly doubt that it will be Max though.

Alison Newman being just as much of a badass as Keeble in real life*.*

Max has suddenly changed out of the tracksuit he was in to the suit he threw in the bin :lol:

So now the whole Square knows, but I bet nothing happens! :lol:

Thing is... Isn't Jane technically able to be arrested? For Max to be given a guilty sentence means her alibi didn't wash. Therefore she was lying in court? Perveting the course of justice & all?

We never saw them have sex so we've assumed they didn't. Probably when Shabnam was being beaten up. MESS.

What a lovely exit for Carol! I'm really going to miss her, easily one of the best actresses in soap.

That ending for Carol was extremely satisfying. Rather than being shoved off to off screen family, she makes a choice that will benefit her for a change.

 

And I'd be miles away if Sonia was my daughter tbh.

Aww, I'll miss Carol, Lindsey Coulson is a hugely underrated actress, I can't understand why she hasn't won more awards over the years. Great in both the 90s and for the past few years.

Stacey's always having non-existant sexual activities. Remember when Ronnie's dad raped her? And it wasn't even a thing.

I'm guessing Max will still have to serve the full 12 month sentence for escaping court even when it's revealed Bobby's the killer and that's his year-long break sorted.

 

I know it was nice for Carol to live life and put herself first but I can't help feeling like her exit could have been better. Suppose it's only fitting for an underrated actress to get a under-done exit though.

I expected more for Carol's exit since she is one of the longest-running characters, but I much preferred that she put herself first for a change and rode off into the sunset rather than just moving to Milton Keynes with Robbie. That would have been rubbish. And she got Julia's Theme which I thought was quite fitting.

 

I am confused as to why nobody is picking up on this Bobby Beale stuff (Max's claims and now Lauren) when Jane is quite clearly acting oddly and has just committed perjury (a fact that is surely evident now that Max has been convicted?) Although Lauren did speak to the wrong police officer if she wanted to be taken seriously...
