This may sound stupid but can a person donate some of their own liver for a liver transplant, like in the same way you could donate a kidney? If so then perhaps this is Jay's "big storyline" we're promised for this year?

I don't think you can, but I don't know for certain? Maybe Phil could have Peggy's liver after she goes (provided it's not cancerous).

Yeah you can give part of your liver to someone, I think the part they take from you grows back? Obviously you can't donate your entire liver, I think you can only live without it for a very short period of time, but you can definitely donate part of yours, so I assume that's what someone will do for Phil, probably Jay.

Jay already looks like he suffers from liver disease tbh.
