Ooh I'll be up for a listening sesh tonight since I'm off tomorrow but sadly I couldn't stay up for a sesh Lastnight since I had to get up at this time today. I quickly went through the songs Lastnight to get a feel for the semi though and I got the impression that the overall quality this month is the highest it's been for months.

Hmmm Lee Wallace isn't in this semi :thinkin: :hmm: so I will Have to subtly support him in the other thread...

So far, and I may add to the list, but I'm fully hyping Jadakissnia and Flynnoda, both tingle my taste buds nicely, but there are another 10 I want to mini-hype. :cheer:

I must say your track is quite something! Very weird but wonderful! Bray made a good comparison to a Gorillaz song, which is probably why I like it. Zany entries ftw. :lol:

I must admit I like your entry as well, its a very strong semi, mind you Semi 2 is just as strong. I've heard all of them as they were coming in, so I'm pretty much up to speed. I'm glad am not shoved in the semis this time round :lol: I would have had no chance.

I've just noticed that Paper Route has been entered! I like them a lot, I think I first came across them after Paramore mentioned they liked them in an interview they did years ago, I've not listened to them in a while but I can't believe they've been sent to BJSC, I really need to listen to more of their stuff again :heart:

Throwing out some hype for Land of DW, possibly their best entry to date so here's hoping for that second Q at least. I'm quite intrigued as to who you thought would like your song Frank, as you said they were (nearly) all in semi 2? ;o Flynnonda surely MUST finally make it this time as well :heart:

I guess it was only a panic attack :lol: I just ran through the countries in the two posts and mixed them a little in my head (for example I was sure Séyetana is in the other semi, I coudn't see Persephonia anywhere (which was strange)... yeah, so I'm getting old and silly, the third X is near.... Btw. I still think I won't qualify from this super-semi, but I'm really happy that some of you like 'In This Together', it's worth checking the band's previous stuff on youtube, they're quite weird, but in a good way.

 

Today I checked some entries in semi 2 (around 80%) and maybe this will an unpopular opinion , but I think overall it's a lot weaker semi. There are some good songs (and perhaps the ones I haven't heard will be the standouts), but at the moment I can't really compare the quality of the two.

 

As for the hype... well, I could hype at least 10 countries from semi 1, to choose something not-that-obvious, I'll give my 'hype-power' to Kluminican Republic, 'Burn With Me' is awesome, their second entry in a row which I really-really enjoy.
