I think the Karen Poole penned Christmas isn't Christmas is very catchy

 

Think Chris Martin's Everyday is Christmas has a really nice feel to it and can see it being played in shops etc

 

If she is going to go with Only You in a serious way then it needs a proper video and a performance..... I didn't think it would be and was just to get a few more pre=orders but it is C listed on Radio 2 which signals they are going with it for a few weeks at least...

 

Santa Baby - Just a class song and Kylie suits it so well

I think Kylie was on Irish radio this morinnig and it did the trick........ the album is number 4 on Irish ITunes only behind Bieber, Adele and 1D

09 | It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year Nice and traditional, always liked this song, good verison

05 | Santa Claus Is Coming To Town The voices do not go together, poor version, Faith Hill does it better

07 | Christmas Wrapping Thankfully not much Iggy, no real change to the original but it's a perfect song as it is

07 | Only You James Corden cannot sing. Pointless addition

6.5 | I'm Gonna Be Warm This Winter Not bad, but kinda filler-ish

09 | Every Day's Like Christmas Really liking this one

08 | Let It Snow Pointless to put it on the album, nice version but it's 5 years old now

08 | White December I'm not familiar with this song, but I liked it

10 | 2000 Miles Always loved this, she does it justice. Glad it's not changed much.

07 | Santa Baby Totally pointless addition, ruins the flow for me, a good version though, has been for 15 odd years

07 | Christmas Isn't Christmas 'Til You Get Here Decent, her voice is a bit annoying in it

10 | Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Same as 2,000 Miles really.

8.5 | Oh Santa Essentially just Santa Baby but more modern and I like how it kicks up in the second half

08 | 100 Degrees Lovely song, Christmassy in lyrics but not in sound which I quite liked

05 | Cried Out Christmas Messy production, annoying vocals, it doesn't know if it's a ballad or uptempo

 

It's consistant, better than I thought, but there's a lack of proper Kylie magic, it only hints at it in a few tracks. I'd have liked maybe one or two more traditional songs like O Holy Night or Silent Night to have her show off her voice more.

From a few photos I just saw looks like she has had a bit of botox/fillers ready for promo.... it needs to settle down!

What does her appearence have to do with the quality or chart performance of her album?

For her public/press appearances and any photographs taken for the promo is why she's done it.

It doesn't affect the quality of the album, if she wants to botox up then it's her choice. That's probably me being nit picky though.

On my first listen, really enjoying Christmas Wrapping but Iggy Pop should not have been included.

I never comment on her appearance etc but she didn't look good on Australian TV, though I think she filmed that a few days ago so hopefully it has settled down. I sont want the media/public to attack her but just enjoy her performances etc :)

 

anyway the album is 86 on USA ITunes...... that's not too bad :)

 

Ireland are loving Kylie Christmas... even Only You is up to 28th there on ITunes....

 

 

 

 

She'll get attacked no matter what though, it's a sad reality of life. People like to make themselves feel better by trying to being down others.

Royal Variety being filmed today, on TV 7th December.......

 

Wonder if Kylie will do more promo this week or let the album sell itself. Think she is guaranteed a top 20 next Friday without promo. She needs to work on this James Corden song but isn't he is USA all the time doing his late late show....

 

Anyway quite happy so far with this.... Just needs to stay around until that big Promo starts

I am really intrigued to see where this will chart this time next week, gotta admit.

It's a good, fun addition to her catalogue. The 3 new songs on the standard and the Dannii duet are all good songs, all could be used for promo. Plus 2000 miles, wrapping, good new versions. Plenty of promo in this one.

 

Expect it will be a Christmas song on Royal variety as it will be shown in December.

 

Ordered the deluxe from Amazon so have been listening to the free MP3 rip every moment I was alone in the office. Love it. Love Kylie. Forever!

Yep agree.... am she was very good according to a few people on twitter.

 

A variety of songs promoted over different shows is good for the album and the streaming of the singles over Xmas.

Anastasia sold 10.5k to get top 10 this week, Erasure 6.5k for 15th...... it was 27k for a top 5 album. I am hoping Kylie can shift 15k and get a top 10 but like I say those albums releases are stacked this week + Elvis, Beatles, Little Mix, Rod Stewart already selling big numbers.......

I'd be very worried if she couldn't get over 10K.

Just seen the advert, got a preview of a handful of songs so gives a good insight, but not really wow-worthy. Should still give the album a boost.

Cool. well I guess we will see in the first updates of the weeks progress. Just hoping she can snatch a top 10 placing in week one so it gets mentioned.
