'Santa Baby' re-entered at #115 last week and its total sales (streams included) are now just short of 103k.

 

'Only You' makes its official chart debut at #155 with total sales of just under 11k.

 

Kylie Christmas sold another 20.9k, taking its total to 56.2k. Has sold another 8k already this week.

Not bad..... but looks like Kylie Christmas will drop in sales.... it was 11k+ at this stage last week and not selling as well it seems.... down on last week on all outlets I can check.... so maybe 14-15k this week hopefully and top 30

 

Good News on Santa Baby....... still 19p on google and streaming 80th on Spotify

 

Only You not doing much this week either 100-160 on ITunes and only getting 30-40k of streams worldwide per day... so doubt it will stay top 200 this week........

 

 

Gonna Be Warm this Winter did better than I thought... 490 and 1183 on UK ITunes :)

 

On a different note I know Kylie doesn't chart much more in singles but she must collect quite a few sales per year on downloads of all her back catalogue? How many would you say I year? I mean CGYOMH has already around 9-10k this year hasn't it?

With streaming it will reach 200k much quicker than it took to reach 100k.

 

Sad the album is down on last weeks equivalent sales, that radio 2 promo was so effective. Not all over though....its daily sales are actually steady from last Monday. The Strictly performance may help her increase, as well as the closeness to Chrimbo...ever the optimist!

 

Smileykylie...she probably sells 200k a year back catalogue with streaming included, even if the PWL stuff is not included,

I can't see Kylie doing much more this week really.

 

We now have to hope the concert on Thursday will grab a few sales though being on Sky Arts its not going to get many casual viewers who haven't bought the album already....

 

I really hope Kylie & Parlophone have got something special planned for Friday 18th- Friday 25th..... there will be little point of ordering CDs from this week as they wont be delivered in time so they need to work on in store CDs and also downloads. I would like something special on G Norton on Friday but with 4 other guests she isn't going to get a lot of time, maybe only singing and not much else. I would like some promo to come from other shows who could play Only You/Every Day's Like Christmas as they talk about Xmas number 1 chart battle. we all know Kylie will get no where near, probably not even top 100 but little snippets may help with a few more sales....

 

Its funny because most of the UK population haven't even heard the James Corden duet yet still it is 25/1 8th favourite to get Christmas number 1.... some people have no idea.......

 

 

Another Question...... Is there ANY chance that Kylie will hop over to USA after she has done her Graham Norton recording this week and go on The Late Late Show and sing with James Corden? Her promo will be all recorded then in UK so she will have a few days..... I refuse to believe she will not sing this song in UK/USA media coverage .... she sang it twice in France the other week......... I know it will get coverage on G Norton with the 'smule' idea....

I think James Corden's last 'Late Late Show' is on Thursday night (17th) before a Christmas/New Year break - so no chance of Kylie being on it.

 

Re- the Amazon sales. I don't imagine the CD bought in Germany from UK will count on either chart (particularly if it's a marketplace trader/seller) :(

 

The pricing strategy is really bizarre - I noticed the Deluxe CD/DVD actually rose in price a couple of days ago on Amazon to £13.99 which is higher than it's ever been. I always wondered whether the marketplace Amazon sales count for the chart at all even though it's New stock from what are probably independent record shops in some cases??

 

The Kylie store having no stock of the Deluxe or the vinyl for nearly a week already is just madness too.

 

But enough of the distribution/pricing worries - I so want Kylie to perform EDLC or CICTYGH on a proper TV slot

I guess they produce only a certain amount of the deluxe and its increase in price is because it is running low...the standard is the one they will keep producing now, and in the future?

They don't even stock the standard version on Kylie.com...... so the only thing you can buy is the download there......

Promotion - B+ could have done much better with shows she has had. Song selection for Xmas album promo .... E ..... have many songs with Christmas/Santa in title and sings about Winter, Snow, Time of Year..... its 14 degrees out their in UK... people haven't even got winter coats on

Concert A - but lost a few marks for them selling it to Sky Arts instead of mainstream....

 

All about £££ can't blame them really..... but its always talked about her giving back to her fans yet I feel she fleeces them a little too.

Just saying.... you have an album called Kylie Christmas so sing a song with Christmas in the title.........

 

On Strictly, TFI the album name was not even mentioned....... stick a copy in Claudia and Chris's hand........ at least on G Norton he will have a copy of it and mention it more....

 

Warm This Winter sounds very USA not very UK friendly. Even Gabriella Climi changed the words when she did it a few years ago.

 

I think she could have performed Santa Baby on TV and that would have given her album a big boost.

thing is yes they are.... because in a lot of shops its hardly around.....

 

its easy to search on downloads yes but I had a friend who went to Oxford Street HMV earlier this week and it could hardly be found......

 

It needs to be spelled out to people that she has an album out otherwise people just think she is performing on TV and not actually selling something....

She has a lot of original material on this album and non of it used........ except another cheap video with her 'boyfriend' who has been the most overused thing in this whole Kylie Christmas campaign.

I am positive , but allowed to offer my opinions and why certain things didn't work and did work.....

 

you need everything right and its often not with Kylie these days......

 

The album is already being known for her 1st album that didn't reach top 10 since 1991 ..... rather than an album that may well go Gold etc.

 

Anyway we still have a last week for it to do something special but like I said .... everything needs to be right.... right promo, right price, right stock, right audience
