Pity the EP of 100 Degrees not pushed earlier like on a Friday and a snippet had been played on a TV show like TFI or G Norton. But still it is 22 on UK ITunes Album chart and overtaken her 2 albums lol

 

Has Only You had some publicity today? Risen from 132 to 80 in less than 24 hours on ITunes.

 

The good thing about 'Only You' is that it isn't solely an Xmas song. If it got a bit of publicity post Christmas it could keep selling once the traditional Christmas songs disappear.

The point of this Christmas album was never to get a smash hit single (and really, does it really matter anything to Kylie's overall discography at all if something charts at #39 or #139?), but a reasonably successful album, which it is. It should end up selling around 100k this Christmas, which is in line with what someone like Leona Lewis sold of her Christmas album two years ago. It'll also give her something to perform every Christmas instead of whipping out an old b-side from 15 years ago.

 

I think the promotion for this have been very good.

They just played Only You at the start of Hollyoaks, could be a small boost but won't be anything major obv.

Oh God don't Lili, SmileyKylie will be in moaning about how management should have gotten her played on Corrie for bigger viewers.

I agree its not just a Xmas song so could still sell well, but it has been top 40 on ITunes before and then just plummets when momentum dies

Every Days Like Christmas finally broke the iTunes top 300 this morning and raced up to 236 with others climbing 535, 634

 

This song needed more promo. Still hoping it can be a hit of the future....... maybe Coldplay will re-release it. Kylie and team should have taken a risk on one of those huge promo slots she had. I am 99% sure it would have paid off

No, it doesn't matter hugely but it'd be just a nice bonus. That's all.

Thank you Kylie Christmas era. It has been fun. this era will keep coming back in some way or other for many years to come..... whether it be a re-issued album, an Xmas song that takes off etc.
