People will hear that she has a song with James Corden and go straight to "oh it's going to be naff, no thanks" no matter how good the original song is and no matter how

big his talk show is.

I can see it clearing 10k which would usually be a guaranteed place in the Top 10 but, given the amount of releases for the 13th November, as well as Ellie and Little Mix' albums the week before and Elvis and Rod Stewart's albums out now which should all still be Top 10, it could miss out.

Britney Jean sold 13k early December 2013 and it was only enough to chart at #34, so Kylie would need to be looking at selling 20k+ to go Top 10 I would have thought.

Not in this day and age! It would be incredible if #10 could sell 50k even on Christmas week.

Oh that's better, haha! Yeah, chances are the #10 position will be closer to 20k when Kylie debuts so Top 10 for her does seem slim, but I've no doubt the album will have a consistent run in the Top 40 until New Year as promo picks up.

Kylie i would believe has a strong loyal fan base to get enough opening week sales to make the top 10.
Her loyal fanbase isn't big enough to get her to topple the other acts releasing that week though.

Yes, it was only during Fever she was able to take in all comers. 14 years ago, eeeeeek.

She would kill for an Ultimate Kylie style run this time round. Sales will be a way down due to the marketplace for albums but that would result in at least 200k.

However I think the best we can hope for is first week top ten, a drop to low top 40 then a climb back to top 20 in the fortnight preceding Chrimbo. As Pippa says she does still have a fanbase, we will surely get her top ten week one, even with the big guns all releasing.

She could get quite good streaming figures... only takes 1 advert to use an Xmas song.... there are G Norton, A Carr, J Ross, X-factor, Strictly.... she s bound to get promo on at least 3 of those I would say.. usually One Show, ITV This morning, Lorraine all should get bits of promo even if she not actually in studios..... She has TFI and Royal Variety also.... she releases vinyl version 27th so should get around 1.5k extra that week. Also radio play.... she is bound to get some.... she needs to release a single next Friday really but it is too early for an Xmas single? so maybe no lead single, especially as she has 6 videos on the CD deluxe already.....

Lets see!!!!!

Plus we have RAH gig on 11th Dec.... will they film and show before Xmas or wait til next year? you would think that everyone attending her gig there would buy a copy of the album!!

I expect the album will go top10 in the first week - given album sales are fairly low this year and it will be mainly hardcore fans buying this. It will drop after that and unlikely to recover to the top10 status but depending on the success of the album promotion, it might hang around down the lower end of the charts. Its unlikely to sell more than KMO in total and might well sell less.

Album leak, album leak........... was on Aussie ITunes this morning. some streaming around.

I think streaming album before KMO release hurt sales

Streaming counts towards the charts though.

Yes it does now.....

it didn't with KMO when they gave it to Guardian to stream and stream and lost sales

I hardly think so, I think the poor quality of the album is what lost sales.

Enjoyed the previews, she is too nasal on some tracks but clear and mighty fine on others.

Regina - I think you were spot on, Santa Baby and LIS are the same versions, according to the previews :-(

Her voice really does not go well with Frank's :/ and I hate HATE that whispery vocal thing she does in some tracks. Iggy Pop ruins Christmas Wrapping.

Who the f*** told James Corden he could sing? Jesus Christ.....

Some of it sounds pretty decent though, Every Day’s Like Christmas sounds pretty fab, so it's not all hopeless.

Not sure I agree with your assessment of the duets however, James Corden sings like he speaks, no range or power. But it is passable. Certainly not the horror of Jason Donovan - appalling singer, nasty voice.

It is much better than I thought, hope the bonus tracks have something disco tinged but not naff. Is the duet with Trannii is supposed to be disco?

Could we not resort to playground name calling please?
