My copy of the Violator Singles boxset from Depeche Mode arrived today. Such a cool surprise as it had been delayed so much that I’d forgotten I’d even ordered it!

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (HMV exclusive blue vinyl). Saw it for £12.99 on recordstore.co.uk back in the beginning of May and I chose to order it. I already own it on CD (to be fair, the ones I wanted the most from the HMV exclusive coloured vinyl section on RecordStore were ones I already have on CD), but it was still an essential add nonetheless. If I had to choose one from the HMV exclusive section that I don't have on any format, I would have gone for Duke by Genesis.

FKA twigs - MAGDALENE. Was hoping to get the red vinyl, but I'm happy with the regular black vinyl that I own.

No, nothing has arrived from them as yet! I'm wondering if they were waiting to ship my usual monthly record so they could send everything at once - or at least I'm hoping that!

 

I ended up ordering that edition of Teenage Dream also - glad to see it looks as nice as it did in the promo pics ^_^

My vinyl collection has now reached double figures. I have to say coloured or patterned ones are more aesthetically pleasing and make me more likely to buy them. Those Katy ones look amazing and make me want it even though I'd ultimately have zero intention of ever listening. I love the blue of the new Fontaines D.C. album and looking forward to receiving the new Liela Moss album in yellow

Yep it's the coloured versions that really sucked me in too, makes them feel more like a piece of art when everything ties in together so well.

 

When I started collecting these I forgot to think about how much space they take up though, I'm starting to get overrun with them I think so I need to stop!

Just a reminder that Record Store Day is broken up into three separate events this year and the first one is coming up soon (the one with Robyn, Dandy :o) on Saturday 29th August! My main independent record store has an online booking system so maybe check if that's the case for any of yours.

In other news, I’ve cancelled my subscription to Vinyl Me Please. I love their products but $149 for 3 albums is just ridiculous, it’s almost a 50% increase!

I'd had my eye on trying to get the deluxe version of Wild World and snapped it up for only £10. I have to say it makes the pictures look quite stunning and the two vinyl sleeves match up to create two bigger pictures.

 

I'm debating whether or not to get the All This Bad Blood from RSD, having already got the normal edition... Randomly, the Keane - Night Train also caught my eye due to the lovely Orange vinyl. I did like the EP, although I've not revisited it in many years, and I like the cover too hmmm
