The Score and The Chemical Brothers will probably just edge inside the 40, but the former might just lose ground by the end of the week. The album market this week is pretty quiet with new releases, Years & Years should easily maintain their #1 position for a second week. Tame Impala 'Currents' and The Chemical Brothers 'Born In The Echoes' should find their way inside the top 10. Other notable new album releases from Nick Jonas with his self titled album and Andrea Faustini 'Kelly' with their debut albums, aside from them, the album top 40 chart is looking very poor. ======================================================== Changes for all future updates: Mondays: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm Tuesdays/ Wedneday/ Thursday/ Top 40 updates as when we have them not 100% guaranteed, also Twitter is your friend and other social media, OCC will have sales flashes on their own site, please always source them if you post anything on Buzzjack. July 19, 201511 yr And as a reminder new chart show starts today at 6pm on Radio 1 Shouldn't that be 'second hand' chart show?
July 19, 201511 yr i think little mix's nearest challenger this week will be lost frequencies with his streaming advantage~
July 19, 201511 yr If Chemical Brothers can't go top 40 this week then I dont think it will ever happen...... Fingers crossed for Calvin Harris and John Newman to go top 5!
July 19, 201511 yr Why do I not get these prediction threads in my inbox? Anyway, hope 5SOS miss the top 5 and spend (near enough) 5 seconds in the chart ^_^ Not really fussed on BM or CAGI getting the #1, even though I prefer BM it would be nice for John Newman to get another #1 :D And Calsciples need to do well in the top 5 too
July 20, 201511 yr I'm quite the 5SOS fan. But I'm not overly keen on this new single. Sounds a little too similar to 'Teenagers' by My Chemical Romance. Whilst I'm not down crediting their writing ability (John Feldman who co-writes with them has wrote some great tracks).. I just think it was wrote in a very short space of time. Not rushed, just too quickly. Apple Music has promoted it a little, so they'll probably be able to squeeze 4-7k steaming points out of it I guess.
July 20, 201511 yr Mint Royale: Chart thrills this week as Little Mix have a slim lead over Lost Frequencies at the top. Will they do their Magic again?Johnny Newman and his retro vibes are Coming and Getting number 4.5SOS Are Kinda Hot on his heels at 6. Calvin Harris leads his Disciples to number 8.Albums: In the album hit parade Y&Y hold communion for a second week at the Lord’s highest chart position. They have managed to Tame an Impala into second spot.Nick Jonas at 8 (can’t think of a pun) and who is Jason Isbell at 10? 1) Little Mix (slim lead) 2) Lost Frequencies 3) ? (Possibly Years & Years?) 4) John Newman 5) ?? 6) 5sos 7) ?? 8) Calvin Harris Edited July 20, 201511 yr by Joe.
July 20, 201511 yr I wish Tame Impala was number 1 but whatever, still the best album of the year, number 2 is OK.
July 20, 201511 yr Author 1) Little Mix (slim lead) 2) Lost Frequencies 3) ? (Possibly Years & Years?) 4) John Newman 5) ?? 6) 5sos 7) ?? 8) Calvin Harris I think #3 is Years & Years, and judging from last week's chart a non mover for Sam Feldt and David Zowie down 2 places, Avicii and WTM/tinie Tempah could be occupying the last 2 spots inside the top 10, judging by Kworb. Anyhow that's me done for the day.
July 20, 201511 yr Glad to see Nick in the top ten. One of 2014's strongest albums and would also be one of the best of 15. I don't suppose he'll hold on to that. They should've released it during Jealous's peak.
July 20, 201511 yr Interesting to see the mids these days, now that they appear three days into the 'week' and with the biggest streaming days included. I thought 5SOS and John Newman would have been a lot higher for example. And didn't expect to see Lost Frequencies challenging for No.1 again...will have to adapt my mind to the new system.
