I hope he manages to push into the top 10. Considering album sales recently, however, it looks like he'll be below 5K, which is pretty disappointing, especially as he's at least put in the effort to record original songs. Long from the days where the 3rd place X Factor act would release a Platinum selling album.

#11 is better than I thought given that it had virtually no promotion but the sales won't look too healthy. A lack of promotion won't have helped; instead of RCA doing the work I've had to take it into my own hands and send out dozens of tweets & emails asking radio stations to play the song and his fellow X Factor contestants to help push the album/single. RCA Records haven't had a very good track record with X Factor acts at all - he'd have been better off with Epic Records as at least they've done well with Olly Murs. The single from the album (Give a Little Love) is barely in the top 100 and I think that would rocket up the charts if a major radio station playlisted it - it's a very commercial sounding record I think but people don't know that unless they've heard it. I just hope it can be more of a slow-burner thing rather than hitting its peak in week 1.

Little Mix have increased on Lost Frequencies a tad, they should remain on top. Next week will be interesting as Lost Frequencies could re-take the #1 as both tracks are on the NOW compilation album. Unless one of the new entries get there, but I doubt it.

Ooh another close #1 battle :funky:

I think Lil Miggs makes the top though :)

Which song? :o

She should push Fire Meet Gasoline :(

She is pushing it. It's on both the R1 and R2 playlists.

I know this, I meant with her performances.

Hope Calvin can hang on to top 10 (still climbing iTunes right? So it should...) properly loving it now
Sales look low. Little mix might sell 55-60k this week.

LM should still clear at least 65-70K.

You know when missing data occurs (same with Spotify).. what actually happens to the data? Is it gone forever, or [if possible] do the OCC try and get it before the Friday and just incorporate it on the next update?

They usually get the data later and incorporate it in the official chart. Although that didn't happen in a short week from Sunday to Friday when all the Spotify data wasn't and still isn't incorporated.

Ah yes. James Masterton was talking about this in his w/e 23rd July podcast. Saying that Apple Music hasn't reported streaming points in the 2 out of 2 Thursday's it's been around. iTunes has never had a problem reporting this.. so maybe Apple Music uses a different backend; or hopefully they'll get it right this time.

ugh... hang on a moment, I hate it when that happens when the update falls at the bottom of the page.

Right I'm off, there are other chart mods to answer your requests, and Joe. :P

Even though it'll drop a place or few by Friday i'm glad Currents is set for a top 5 place overall :cheer:
