In the end I kind of rooted somewhat for Detox, I felt she had been just as good as Katya and Alaska but just had not clicked as much.

 

I loved the entire performance. i can see why Ru was gagged. Roxxxy's rap was a bit shit but I really liked her performance. They all brought it. Katya's lyrics and delivery won for me though. Sorry 'bout it.

 

I don't think Katya needed it like Alaska did. I think she feels proud of her efforts and I'm happy with that.

Of course they don't in this case. It was just to promote the show on social media and get people tweeting all week about it and get hype up to improve the viewing figures. Standard tactic.

 

It was filmed a year ago now and Alaska winning was decided back then, it's been set in stone the last 12 months.

Yeah, people have known Alaska won before the cast even got announced publicly.

I can't say I ever expected to be disappointed with an Alaska win. She really changed my opinion of her during the last few episodes, and she was so disingenuous in this episode. Still, I see that she was deserving.

I have also decided that I don't mind Roxxxy now. It really does feel like she has changed since season 5! If she were the same old Roxxx, she'd slip by second episode surely. Unless this was ALL due to being too aware of the public.

 

Katya has cemented her status as a legend on RPDR. Tatianna being so refined and polished that she is was very good to see. I am glad she was brought back. Surely now season 1-2-3 queens will feature more in the next All Stars'? Alyssa has come across even more likeable this time and I am totally on board. Roxxxy isn't quite the bitch she used to be. Detox is soooooooo polished and with a clear sense of style and influences this time I was living!

yeah roxxxy to me is totally blameless in this whole affair and came out of it rly well and w grace. detox as well is a lot more humble this time round and killllled the looks, but i still felt a kind of disconnect from her idk. prob down to the editing as they didn't want her to win.

 

alyssa and tati and katya obv came out of the whole series the best and will defooo have the biggest long term boosts. and i don't rly think the alaska backlash will last that long as she is so talented. i just hated how even in the talking heads moments and the 'why i should win' speech she was still so effected and it just came off badly to me. it's a shame as before this she was my fav queen ever but by the time the final came round i even wanted detox to beat her.

also despite the on screen reactions etc, this obv all turned out how ru paul wanted. the only reason katya didn't win a lipsync is cos she kept tryin to kick off roxxxy and ru didn't want to have to be the one to send alyssa home in 4th place. alyssa and tati being sent home 'unfairly' was also the best thing for them tbh, as they weren't gonna win and won a lot more fans and love in the process.

Not the least bit surprised at the winner, and it's not as if it wasn't deserved really. However, can we just stop to worship Katya's performance of the track for a moment? What a SUPERSTAR. My god, she scalped me. I loved the other queens absolutely gagging during her rehearsal too. They knew they were getting their asses handed to them.

Not surprised Alaska won even though we all know Katya has come the furthest out of the four which is extradionary considering she was in a more recent series and therefore had less time to develop. Honestly made this season for me and I think this is only the beginning of the next level in her career. I even bought a Katya top last week as I've fallen in love with her ten times over again with this season. This season for me was Katya's, Alyssa's and Detox's. Alaska was just the Chad of the season, the inevitable winner but not really the queen/s of the season.

 

Katya, Alyssa, Detox, Tati and Adore (for the time she was there) made this season for me. Roxxy and Phi Phi were intolerable and proved if anything, they're exactly as petty as they were the first time. Also I have Katya's rap on repeat THATS A RASH NOT A HERPES SORE

The video is excellent (Tati's cameo :wub: ) I find Alaska's performance/acting in it somewhat...blank in it though, it's weird.
