I'm not surprised it was very front loaded. It might plummet for a bit but I think it will eventually level off.

That'd be nice. His first album was always going to be hard to get a decent chart run with because obviously, like Zach said, sales will be very front loaded, and also this is his first go at showing people who he is as an artist (still finding his sound a little), so the first album was always going to be hard for him to get people to look at him and not think One Direction. And obviously some One Direction fans won't be interested because they still angry about him leaving, the sound isn't their cup of tea/what they want to hear Zayn singing, etc etc

Number 1 in the States, the first solo British male to do so in 28 years!
That had me confused as I was sure Ed Sheeran got there with x for example, turns out it applies just for debut albums, that makes sense :heehee: I'm intrigued to see how well he holds up in the US!
Tell his sales figures that. The album wasn't even the most *bought* album last week, Adele sold more copies, he got #1 due to streaming. It's apparently #12 in the mids today but we'll see for sure by 5:45.
I think this could hold up far better in the US, i feel like the sound definitely suits that market more. Really well done to him
I felt myself zoning out a lil in places where songs were a bit too samey, but there are some gems in here. 'PILLOWTALK', 'LIKE I WOULD' and 'TiO' especially. Quite liking this sound, probably just could've done with it being a bit shorter.
