12. Drake ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR - Preach

 

The most recent song on the list, but easily one of the best for me, from his latest album/mixtape it's the dark, pulsating 'Preach'. The mixtape doesn't contain too many highs despite being consistently good, but this song is above and beyond the strongest on there. It's brooding, catchy, experimental, ethereal and brilliantly samples Henry Krinkle's 'Stay'. The opening verse from PARTYNEXTDOOR is a huge moment and Drake's own version later in the track adds more oomph to proceedings. It's a shame it has fallen out but it's not one of his most well-known songs partly because nothing really got a big push in the last era and so it didn't manage to impact radios or the charts as much as his other songs. Still if you haven't heard it yet, give it an essential listen:

'Preach' has grown to be in my top 5 Drake tracks so i'm gutted about that </3

 

Still voting 'Make Me Proud', does not deserve to be top 10 over any of the others still remaining..

What an INCREDIBLE list of songs that is :o but I'm with you now on Make Me Proud. Just that cut below everything else there.

Crew Love. Despite Drake and The Weeknd being two of my favourite artists, it's such a letdown.

Nowhere near the quality of the others left in this.

Preach was a massive grower for me this year, sounded so good in the April heatwave down my way :wub:

 

I like Make Me Proud, but its not one of my Drake favourites really.

Preach is easily one of my favourites!

 

Controversial, but I'm really not the biggest fan of Hold on we're going home

Tie between 'Make Me Proud' and 'Crew Love' here. Someone want to break it so we can get into the top 10 :)?
