Oh god...these names are so typical of a UK national final if true  I really don't want Jedward or Nicholas McDonald to to represent us.

Liss Jones could be good indeed, lol at Jess Wright, something like her 'hit' single would be a guaranteed bottom five at Eurovision again.

Nicholas omg NO.

Dance All Night by Jess was actually a tune but would indeed flop. Liss is good but I really worry Jedward would win a UK NF. You really can't trust the public but then again we can't trust internal selections either so why not try it, I guesss

Presumably trying to latch onto any random hype they can get as they wouldn't be allowed to respond to any rumours like that I presume, but they are exactly the type of band we should be entering:

(The song they are releasing on that day is called 'Vice' and it apparently premiered on Radio 1 last night so that rules it out anyway you would think and is apparently available on Spotify)

According to ESC Nation, these 4 names are rumoured on Twitter:

Nicholas McDonald (The X Factor)

Jessica Wright (The Only Way Is Essex)

Liss Jones (The Voice)

Jedward

Liss is promising, the other three not so much (although Jess' single was a guilty pleasure!). If these were the types of names we were getting I was actually hoping it was going to be more unknowns than these are, they don't sound very "BBC Four" either.

I think Liss is a Team Midas act, so that fits with that rumour we had a few weeks ago. She's very active on Twitter with new tours and songs from what I can see, definitely the most believable of the four to me. Last month she regularly tweeted about possible exciting news, excitement for 2016.

That had better be bullshit because I can't think of anything worse

Nicholas McDonald (The X Factor) Boring as hell, but at least he can sing

Jessica Wright (The Only Way Is Essex) Can she sing?

Liss Jones (The Voice) I don't know who this is? Is this the blind girl who may or may not have won The Voice at some point.

Jedward So they represented Ireland twice with diminishing returns. They would need the backing singers turned up to 100 again but I think Europe are over them, and just because they placed respectably for Ireland doesn't mean they would do the same for us.

Guys, those rumours are probably about as accurate as all the other numerous UK @ Eurovision rumours throughout the last few years

*cough* Wonder Villains definitely in *cough*

Yes but that's not exactly CAUSE FOR HOPE given the rumours tend to be BETTER than the outcome!

I'm can officially reveal I am taking part in this. The BBC asked me even though I am not an artist and I cannot sing.

But that didn't stop Josh Dubovie.

I bought one because I was pretty set on trying to nab one before even knowing how much they were going to charge. :kink:

*leaves venue in bitter disappointment that the public chose the worst of the 6 songs*

Just confirmed by Mel Giedroyc on Radio 2.

The show will start at 7:30pm

The 6 songs will be premiered on The Ken Bruce Show on Radio 2 on 22nd February

The special guests are Måns Zelmerlöw and Katrina & The Waves

Katrina & The Waves *_* hopefully they perform 'Love Shine A Light' just to remind everyone that we can and have won Eurovision in the past!!

Definitely positive that they've gone for the most recent Eurovision winner and UK winner, rather than dragging out the likes of Bucks Fizz! Måns definitely seems to be popular with the BBC at the moment, especially with reports coming out from several news outlets today that he is being lined up for Strictly Come Dancing later this year!

Noticed this on my Twitter feed earlier... I can dream that she's suggesting what I hope she is suggesting...

Nina Nesbitt ‏@ninanesbitt 2 hours ago

Off to the studio to finish a GOOD song that is NOT an album track

People get pissy enough when they have popstars on who've had dance training, let alone somebidy who's already won a version of Strictly  They even noted that in the article. It'd be such an unfair advantage really, although it was 10 years ago.

Nina tho *.* If she did actually do it, even if she did I'm sure she wouldn't win the NF but it'd be nice to see her.

Dare say you're clutching at straws there, Ryan, quite possible she's just teasing an upcoming single

I'm here to apologise if this does turn out to be something though... given her previous material though, I'm not sure Nina would even do that well even if she is a more serious act to send.

Well of course I'm clutching at straws, but part of the fun with UK selections is to do just that! :kink: I just liked the way she called it "GOOD" and Guy says that we have "6 GOOD songs" in this national final, not that Nina would even pick up on that anyway.

I think Nina could do very well with the right song, imagine something like "Chewing Gum"! I'm fully convinced that'd be a top 10 contender at the very least.

I'm tempted to go if Måns will be there.

Will see if there is any tickets still left on monday and maybe take the day off for a london trip.
