I went for the three LOTR films & 'Forrest Gump'.

 

Tie-breaker, I went for 'Mockingjay: Part 1'.

The Dark Knight Rises, Forrest Gump, and the remaining Hunger Games movies for the poll, and Sixth Sense.

Doesn't this set-up mean that whoever survives the tie-breaker automatically gets a pass through to round 9?

I think both are out and the tiebreak is to decide the rank of each movie :)

It'll be the case here. But for future rounds, in the event of a tie, I'll just eliminate the movie that received more votes in previous rounds.
