Lauren could be a shock, her song is pretty dull...

Mason and Reggie & Bollie need to go.

Louisa is singing the Romeo and Juliet version of Everybody's Free :o Could be amazing! Great choice from Rita and fairly inspired.
Just had a listen to that version of the song and it fits Louisa perfectly, she could have a big moment with that perhaps reminiscent of Drew's What A Feeling in X Factor USA!
I wish it was 'Kissing You', but I doubt that'd hit the public so much. Inspired choice though <3
Wonder if Lauren and Monica's songs "Bang Bang (I Shot You Down)" and "Licence To Kill" will be changed now with respect to what happened in Paris last night?
don't think it will as they won't have time to learn new songs

I am fairly sure they will change the songs, or at least they certainly should. Getting the acts to learn a new song is a much lesser evil than actually going ahead and promoting a song about shooting people down in the aftermath of this tragedy all to save the act a bit of effort. They are supposed to be semi-professionals at this point remember.

Hmm, I don't know how I feel about that though, I understand of course why.

But, life should carry on, they aren't disrespectful songs promoting violence and advocating murder, they just happen to be unfortunate song titles.

The best example I can think of is Ke$ha's - Die Young being pulled from some American radio stations, the song actually has a great message about living life etc, but simply from the title alone, the song was pulled in the wake of a school shooting or something iirc.

Both are classic songs, I think they aren't totally disrespectful tbh. I'd keep them.

It's just common courtesy and just out of respect though? So i think they should change them. As Bal said, I'm bored of XF using the whole "I've learned this in 2 days after so many changes" etc... you're semi pros. You should know most songs by now.

Hi Jonjo  :cheer:

Meh, I'd rather them do a tribute performance than change the song because it says BANG in the title or whatever. I don't find it disrespectful to go ahead singing classic film songs.

Lauren Murray: One Last Time

Monica Michael: What Is Love

^ new song choices. Not sure if that's sticking to the theme or not but I wouldn't be surprised if not, due to the short notice of this. Sure, it doesn't take long to learn a new song, but there's more to that with an XF performance really, what with choreography, styling, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were their sing-off songs as of course they would have already been learning them, One Last Time certainly feels like a save me song choice.
I don't think it is, hence my theory above. I prefer both of those song choices anyway, assuming the version of What Is Love will be something along the lines of Kiesza's as that will fit Monica best.
