September 5, 201511 yr Listen to 'Pure Grinding' (the other 'A-side' to For A Better Day) then if you think all Avicii songs have the same sound, it's a lot different to all his other stuff. I liked True, there were some great tracks besides hit singles, but he really must experiment more with singles too.
September 5, 201511 yr Avicii's latest single is god-awful IMO, he deserves what he's getting with it. I know artists' fortunes can change in the space of two years and it's usually just one of those things, but I can really see why with him. I used to like him a lot and he does have some ace stuff in his back catalogue, but everything from this era has been pretty poor and re-hashing old ground to the point where it's now basically self-parody and this is the worst of it. 'Pure Grinding' to be fair whilst not brilliant shows a willingness to experiment, he just like SKOB said needs to show that more in his singles he's commercially releasing and basically all his other recent productions!
