Im a sam smith fan but even I think its a but naff.....I like his voice in the verse when he doesnt go high but in the chorus it is painful I cant listen to it on my terms due to the chorus :( The production is fantastic. Wish it went more upbeat.

this really rips off 'earth song' in parts, it is naturally utterly dreadful!
Well I quite like it on first listen. For me it's nowhere near as good as Skyfall or Another Way To Die but loving the strings!
I do feel though on Buzzjack in particular, whatever he puts out, it'll be disliked so the poor bloke can't win
I've only heard the iTunes preview but it sounds decent? Not as good as Skyfall but it isn't that boring and does suit the Bond theme!

I personally think that the production behind his vocals does his music wonders. Particularly La La La with Naughty Boy and his Disclosure collabs.

I don't think this is THAT bad, just a bit limp really. The arrangement's a bit odd - the instrumental stopping all of a sudden before he goes falsetto is a bit jarring and it does feel a bit of a by-the-numbers bond theme without much individuality on it. Ofc. it will become the first Bond number 1 purely because of who's singing it, but it's a shame as it's by no means worthy of it.

On a positive note, it's probably the most bearable thing he's ever done (Latch excluded).

I don't actually think the song is that bad, it has quite a nice melody (maybe because it sounds like 'Earth Song') and I quite like the ballad's subtlety, despite being a Bond theme.

The major problem is that it just doesn't work as a full package and I honestly think it's because of his vocals. There is no denying his vocal talent but it's just completely wrong for a Bond song. I want power and a big belting voice, not whiny falsettos throughout. Just because he can sing does not mean he is a powerhouse, and I think this song highlights that massively. The delivery is so wrong it hurts.

Ah thanks. Damn all these Spotify only new releases...

Wow, I'm very impressed by this! His voice suits the instrumental perfectly. Best Bond theme in a very long time.

Actually quite enjoying this, it'll be far from one of the worst #1s of the year for me. The falsetto chorus is stunning especially, perhaps not as dramatic as a Bond song could be butnwe still have those strings and it does sound Bond enough for me. In the grand scheme of Sam singles, Stay With Me and especially I'm Not The Only One are still way better though.,
This is amazing, Sam is incredibly talent!
The fact that it's Bond does nothing for me. It's Lay Me Down part 2 :manson:

I'm enjoying the song, only criticism is that it's hard to tell when the song is about to finish because it sounds like it's about to after each chorus.
