This from the BBC Genome website.

A schedule from 9th May 2000 on CBBC:

3:25 Tweenies

3:45 Fix And Foxi

3:55 The Sliver Brumby

4:20 Home Farm Twins

4:35 G Force

5:00 Newsround

5:10 Trading Places

It is a shame that CBBC isn't on BBC1 or 2 anymore. That used to the highlight from coming home from school to watch CBBC.

Arthur, Best of Friends, 50/50, Story Of Tracy Beaker, Raven, Blue Peter.

I think I watched CITV more iirc but Grange Hill, Get Your Own Back, 50/50, Dennis & Gnasher and the S Club shows were all great, plus I agree with Joseph about Jeopardy (so good).

I wasn't into any of the Saturday morning shows though, much more of an SM:TV fan <3

I remember Cave Girl, I think that generated some controversy if I remember didn't it?

Of course, 'Get Your Own Back'. I think Dave Benson Phillips was hosting special shows at the Edinburgh Fringe this year.

The Saturday Show, Get Your Own Back (my childhood really was the height of the 'gunge tank' motif of kids TV) 50/50, Basil Brush, Tracy Beaker, The Worst Witch, The Demon Headmaster, Mona The Vampire, Arthur, Watch My Chops, Stupid and Best of Friends (that one where a group of friends decided who would get treats and do tasks by sucking sweets that made their tongue blue) were childhood faves of mine.

omg I loved 'Stupid' too even if it did live up to it's name haha. 'Devil Finger!!!'

Does anyone remember 'Stitch Up!' too? It was a hidden camera prank show.

Didn't know Holly Wiloughby presented Xchange too.

'The Queens Nose' & 'Even Stevens' (Shia!!!) were two more favourites of mine (along with stuff like 'Get Your Own Back', '50/50', 'The Demon Headmaster', 'Jeopardy', 'Ghost Hunter' etc..)
I remember when CBBC didn't exist #ancient

Same here, I was 8 when the first broom cupboard broadcast went out.

Anyone remember any of these from the really early days?

Beat the Teacher

Grange Hill with the original theme tune and "sausage" titles

Bad Boyes

Uncle Jack

Jossy's Giants

Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds

The Mysterious Cities of Gold

Fonz and the Happy Days Gang

Alfonso Bonzo and Billy Webb

Being a big kid, I still tune in for Hacker Time and Horrible Histories - two of the funniest programmes on TV.

I LOVED 50/50, I fancied the pants off Sally Gray and wanted to go on that show when I was 8 years old. Trouble was being a BBC Scotland show it only seemed to use schools from that area. Other favourites of mine were probably these:

- Brum (but only the original version with Toyah Wilcox narrating)

- Postman Pat (again, original series)

- Spider (my niece and nephew love this one now from YouTube reruns)

- Hairy Jeremy (does anyone remember this one?)

- PC Pinkerton (likewise? I had a model figure of him which I still have)

And when I was a bit older:

- No Sweat (North & South 'Tarantino's New Star' was one of the first singles I remember having on tape. Aaah, memories)

- S Club series, obviously

- The Wild House (LOVED that show)

- Out of Tune

Hairy Jeremy (does anyone remember this one?)

YES! Oh I'm ever so happy now...

I remember watching the classics on BBC1 before CBBC ever existed, like Jackanory, Rentaghost, The Clangers. My favourite Saturday morning show was the multi-coloured swap shop with Noel Edmonds and those hideous jumpers, John Craven, Maggie Philburn and Keith Chegwin, now I'm going to grab my anorak

Some of those shows that stick in my memory are -

- Incredible Games (a gameshow set inside a lift going up a tower. David Walliams played the computerized host. The Dark Knight still gives me nightmares) -

- The Demon Headmaster

- Aquila

- Christopher Crocodile

- Agent Z & The Penguins of Mars

- Dear Mr Barker

- The Queen's Nose

I was never a CBBC child really, the only thing I watched from it was Sarah Jane Adventures and that was because it was DW related.

Of course, being in Australia for a significant amount of my childhood where they don't have CBBC was a factor. But I wasn't into their equivalent so I don't know if I'd have watched it a lot

THE WILD HOUSE! Thank you for the name, I couldn't remember the name of it at all!

I forgot to mention 'The Really Wild Show'

Also echoing the love for 'Wild House'!

YES! Oh I'm ever so happy now...

When Jeremy's eyes suddenly opened, that did freak me out when I was younger.

I just loved the fact that somehow it led you to believe that cavemen did have the voice of Ray Winstone. I'm pretty sure I had the cuddly Hairy Jeremy from Woolworths as well. Ah, all flooding back now..
