Good to see Duffy is finally back. Though I think it's just an one-off release.

Do you remember Welsh singer-songwriter Duffy and her iconic radio success with “Mercy” in 2008? Well.. you should!

She’s finally back to the music scene with brand new single called “Whole Lot of Love“, the song is her first original since 2010, when the singer released her second album “Endlessly“.

The song is the main theme taken from crime thriller film Legend, where she plays American singer Timi Yuro and contributes three songs to its soundtrack including this new original song.

“Whole Lot of Love” was released on digital retailers on September 11th via Polydor Records including a cover of Andy Williams’ classic “Dear Heart“, originally released in 1964.

Haven't heard it in full yet. But it sounds good in the trailer. Sounds like she's stopped taking the helium she was on the last time she released an album. I doubt she'll ever be a big commercial success again unfortunately.
Downloaded now and even though I liked Endlessly, this feels like a return to form for her. At least she's had the massive flop so she'll hopefully be able to quietly release a third album without any pressure or expectation.
It is actually very good. Her cameo in 'Legend' is good too. I hope it manages to put her back in the public eye slightly!

I don't think she'd be widely recognized as she did during "Rockferry" era.

She sounded awesome in Legend. So glad she dropped the chipmunk voice.
