Just heard this, his voice stil sounds stupidly weak on record :/ In theory it's a good song though, athough I agree Kelly's bit isn't knockout enough to make me love this as much as I normally do with her. For how absolutely intolerable he was on the X Factor though this isn't bad

I knew you would warm to Ben in the end Liam

I absolutely loved this, been in a car for like 6 hours today and have listened to this at least 30 times! Such a fantastic and anthemic track with great vocals by both

Are you sure you were listening to the right song Celine? Ben's vocals are dire on this.

I knew you would warm to Ben in the end Liam

I wouldn't say warming, his voice is still horrendous  It's just not unlistenable like the songs he "sung" on X Factor :kink:

Yeah I know I was just laughing at the begrudging praise, it was funny.

As they say one Man's trash is another man's (or in this case) woman's treasure :)

There are rumours that Ben is releasing an acoustic version of Second Hand Heart on the 30th October. If this is the case will the sales all count the same like they do when a deluxe version of an album comes out or will it will 2 chart entries? Can any of you clever people confirm?

This makes sense as he has been hinting at a "surprise" when he performs it on the show and the first live show will be that weekend.

Yep an acoustic version (or any other remix) still counts, as long as it's the same song it will be all combined into one version. If there was an original, club mix and acoustic mix and you buy all three, a song will get 3 sales.

I would assume it'd be combined with the normal version!

By the way, I really like this. I went in with low expectations at first (although Kelly's involvement raised my anticipation).

Thank you Liam and Jay :)

I actually preferred the acoustic version of Something I Need so quite excited for this.

I guess this idea came about because Kelly can't sing with him.

Oooh I'm loving this, liking the country-ish feel to it as well! Hopefully his album will have more of the same!
Really liking this now. Kelly's part has grown on me. Shame it was just her standing in a room until the end though in the video.
The video is here! OK I drooled a little bit

I'll fetch you a bath tub to catch it. ;)

not a bad video, I need a scene of Kelly belting out a big note though

I predict low top 20 for this. He'll probably manage a few weeks top 40 though, going up and down with promo.

but its top 10 in the midweeks

Only due to lots of missing streaming, it'll end up low top 20 by Friday I should think. Once Ben performs this on X Factor I think it could go top 10, but it should have decent longevity anyway!

Love the video and the American country theme!

This song is reminding me of Phillip Phillips - Home! Really can't get enough of it atm.

^ isn't it a massive rip off of this in parts?!::

i don't really understand why kelly is on this? what brings them together, especially on a lead debut single. the link is so tangible and ultimately pretty clot. it doesn't do anything to distinguish him as a solo being and only serves to push him towards the male-winning curse and adult contemporary debut before a flushing...

What a horrible HORRIBLE insult to poor Phillip.

This is surprisingly good :o

Absolutely hated his guts on the X-Factor, but this is a massive step up, especially as his vocals aren't as annoying on record as they are live
