October 18, 20159 yr I want poppy and her to sing properly. Not in that weird, faux-Jamacian accent shes been donning.
October 18, 20159 yr I want poppy and her to sing properly. Not in that weird, faux-Jamacian accent shes been donning. I'm not sure where you are hearing "faux- Jamaican". Anyways. I love this, it's really Gwen Stefani just being Gwen Stefani. It almost sounds like a song from No Doubt's 'Rocksteady', without the band (of course). Unlike her most recent effort, this isn't her trying to emulate something that gave her success with her first two solo albums. 'Spark The Fire' was such a sellout, 'Baby Don't Lie' is still her best solo single after "What You Waiting For" and "Cool" IMO. She just needs to realize (much like my Britney) that just because you have sold a shit ton of albums and have ruled the scene for almost two decades, you can't expect a #1 hit to fall out of your ass just because of your name and the song being good. The world has gotten much more f***ed up by now. Actually she doesn't really even need a good track, just buy an iTunes ad.
October 18, 20159 yr After the disappointing (and unfair) underperformance of Baby Don't Lie I hope this does something for her.
October 19, 20159 yr I heard this on the radio a few minutes ago and it sounds pretty cool! Hopefully it rights the wrong of "Baby Don't Lie" flopping.
October 19, 20159 yr https://soundcloud.com/joaquinignacio/gwen Killer comeback. That final chorus is giving me all the feels.
October 19, 20159 yr Wasn't feeling it at the beginning but by the end I was really loving it. Very Cool/4 In The Morning-esque, which obviously is no bad thing.
October 19, 20159 yr Absolutely adore this. 'Spark the Fire' had me worried..but this has really brought back the excitement. So good!
October 19, 20159 yr It's nice, a little dull, but gets going towards the end. I'm still not blown away though..
October 19, 20159 yr Dull. Really poor single, This. She is awful these days. To think this is the woman of WYWF ... although she did also release Rich Girl n Hollaback Gurl so not like shes a musical genius...
October 20, 20159 yr This is brilliant. I just think it's a shade overproduced, it distracts from her vocal and the melody in the first half of the song too much for me. The final chorus is perfection.

October 20, 20159 yr Yeah, the song itself is strong but it's just the production on it I'm not sure on.
October 20, 20159 yr Author The music video has been premiered on her Facebook page and you could watch it here. ETA: Uploaded on her YouTube/VEVO channel as well. zeT_nYtjgTQ Edited October 20, 20159 yr by Juan Carlos
October 20, 20159 yr I refuse to call that a proper music video. The song is rather nice. Better than Spark the Fire, worse than Baby Don't Lie. Edited October 20, 20159 yr by ♡ Heezus Froot ♡
October 20, 20159 yr I prefer both 'Spark the Fire' and 'Baby Don't Lie'. I don't like sappy Gwen, although this is not as bad as '4 in the Morning' or 'Early Winter' (seriously what were they thinking with those after two amazing singles, it killed the whole campaign). Her music needs to be weird and out there.
