In2 looks like it could get to #3 maybe? Behind Adele for sure and it depends how well Justin holds up but I'd expect him to at least be ahead with streams factored in if not on sales too. (although you never know what else could come out of the woodwork)

Not to jinx it, but In2 looks a nailed on top 10 at this point. It's even climbing the Spotify chart (when I last looked it was around #60 two weeks before release). By that time radio will be hammering it, so it has got every chance of doing well.

Although if In2 were to chart as high as #3, it would be the best chart news since Stormzy went top 20 with a freestyle and Freak Of The Week charted in the top 10!

It hasn't been pushed back again has it ? It's coming out still this Friday !

According to iTunes release date is 6th November now.

8 green updates in a row for Adele... The last one's were DARK. LOL, all around the world it's the same situation.
 45. Years & Years - Eyes Shut ..... :cheer: ... Beautiful song

I actually thought it may have been severely frontloaded (in the same vein as Band Aid 30 last year) where it's huge lead was eaten into rapidly. Pleasing to see it continue to gain!

I suppose this is so she gets to perform it on The X Factor the weekend it is released. I think Ben is on this week.

I read somewhere that its Little Mix and Ellie Goulding this weekend. I have no idea what they are doing, its a mess for both Ben and Fleur tbh (unless she does get to perform release date which would be a huge boost) Ben has an acoustic version out this Friday and it would be the perfect time for him to perform. I wonder if there is some reason he can't perform it yet, like they booked a substitute duet performer or something for a certain date.

Hi Buzzjack

Does anyone know if Focus by Ariana will be released on the 29th midnight in the UK or will be held back like Problem?

It should be OA/OS in the UK too! I'd imagine it will be released in the morning on Friday after its radio premiere (so it can be put out at the same time around the world), although it may be released at midnight!

re. X Factor, it's not a mess for Ben and Fleur at all. They'll probably be performing at a date suitable for the *album* release (which also would probably be the impact week for the single going on past cases like with 1D).

The only artists holding things back these days are desperate dance artists who want a high chart position (and will then moan when streaming screws this over :D), I think it's almost certain Focus won't be held back but I could see it going top 10 anyway! She's got a huge fanbase and I imagine it will get radio support quickly too.
Break Free was OA/OS and that missed the top 10 with a very weird run on the UK charts! I'm still very worried about Ariana not being pushed back, it could have been her 3rd #1 if it was pushed back she is such a streaming force!!

Re XF as a fan of Ben, although I agree that the album is more important and it might make sense to perform then, having so little promo for the single which is currently at 17 on iTunes and could possible not even be Top 40 by the time he performs given the streaming hitting him hard (if it is 13 November week) that sets him up for the usual of being called a failure before he has even started. He was actually #8 on sales alone last week, which wasn't too bad at all for OA/OS but all some people saw is he didn't make the Top 20. I just think its a PR disaster?

I think it would've gone top 10 had there not been that old rule of only one instant grat being able to be chart-eligible (which was 'Problem' as she removed the single version just before 'Break Free').

Break Free had a dodgy strategy from the start :( It was released as the second instant grat from the album (following Problem), in a time where only the first instant grat was eligible, so basically it had a few weeks where it couldn't chart and it would've gone top 10 then :drama:

I think an X Factor performance will give the song a big boost any time it's released in all honesty. Streaming is going against him but it was always going to, even Little Mix are struggling on streaming with their new single (despite a top 10 streaming hit in Black Magic). It's doing fine for now, remember it also has no airplay. The album is more important I think especially when they're releasing it on the busiest week possible, against 1D, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran's re-release and Kylie's Christmas album :drama:

Yep Syco making it as easy as possible for him

I understand what you are saying and I have seen that other big artists "struggling" with the same strategy. Its just like I said as an XF winner the wolves circle quite quickly. I believe Ben will do well and is holding up well with next to no promo but as a fan itching for the promo to kick in! With Syco's record I just don't trust them tbh.
