Carrie really should've done Before He Cheats or something. I know she's promoting her current album but she's not known here very much at all so nobody would've known anyways, lol. When Janet was on she mashed up All For You with her current single to make it a bit more of a crowd pleaser

Before He Cheats, which isn't on her current album anyway :P Heartbeat made sense, anything more country-like would've alienated some of the audience I think, it's just not a genre that works in the UK sadly. The album's had a nice boost which is what matters most.

not a vintage year for guest performers on the x factor  ~ now coldplay are confirmed, i doubt the budget will stretch to adele or bieber, so prepare for cheap fillers like 1d :nocheer:
The biggest boyband in the world are a cheap filler? (they're confirmed anyway)

He meant that it's not exactly going to cost Simon as much as getting Justin or Adele

OMG when were Backstreet Boys confirmed? *.*

So you meant current biggest boyband then :smoke: because BSB are still the reigning kings with their 130 odd million records sold :smoke:

Why are people assuming X Factor pays the acts to perform, has this ever been confirmed?

Fairly certain (or used to at least) the acts would perform for free.. it's free promotion for them! Think they pay for production costs, but not the artists themselves.

Well Global paid £250,000 for The Wanted for 'Show Me Love (America)' and are very likely to have done similar for Nathan Sykes (nothing else can explain it).

I think it can, it's just never pushed here. Stations like BBC Radio 2/Magic FM support country when it's pushed here. But none of the country artists ever really do promotion in the UK (TV performances/radio tours etc), so it's no wonder the genre never does too well here.

I'd love Carrie to do a big promo schedule in the UK for a future album. "Before He Cheats" and "Blown Away" were both missed oppotunities. "Blown Away" could've been a hit with the right push, I can imagine BBC Radio 2/Magic FM/Heart spinning it if given the right promotion.

It's a shame most country singers tend to stay in the US and don't promote elsewhere, I think that's one of the biggest reasons why country doesn't usually do well worldwide, bar a few examples (Shania Twain/Lady Antebellum/Dolly Parton etc).

Sia and Jason Derulo confirmed for this week!
Oh Sia can do one if she's putting a lampshade on her head again. That's got so old now. Either show your face or don't bother.
Omg Sia! She's on Graham next week too! What's Jason performing? His recent flop single? I guess he'll probably do Want to Want Me.

I agree. On the other hand, I hope JD performs "Cheyenne"

I believe Get Ugly is being lined up as the next single so he could perform that.

Ew no. I mean I like the song, but let's keep this relevant eh? I just hope Sia is performing something from her upcoming album and not Chandelier or Elastic Heart.

I've heard she is performing "Alive". I'd rather David Guetta was on there as well so they could perform "Bang My Head"
